Would I like to know when the server is coming back of course I would, am I going to be an idiot and keep asking and potentially ****** off the people working on said server to the point where they just say to hell with it? NO I AM NOT. To all the idiots that keep asking SHUT IT.

You can look at it both ways. Don't ask for updates and wait until it's done, but also by getting no updates, people will lose interest in the server for lack of information and potentially losing interest in the server. So you're losing population after waiting 4~ months for an update. So people lose interest in checking the server for updates after so long, move on to another game, and you've lost that person. Get it?

I don't want an ETA just general things like finished salvaging issues or working on drops in dungeons...anything to let me know they are still working on it. Even if they brokedown the game into 25 categories with percentages on where they think they are at just to give us an idea. Do I expect it from them unless I am paying? no =) but if they want me to donate they need to help me a little also And if they don't need donations then this is a moot point anyways =)

Also they know people want an update so when they have anything major to update people with I am sure they will. If I was paying for a product I would expect things as well but again its a free server and I for one would rather wait a year with no updates and have the server come back and be awesome. These people that are working on the server have lives, they probably have families. I've waited over 5 years for EQClassic.org so don't talk to me about patience. But they took down the only good DAoC server that is available these days and a lot of people are craving it again, and I'm sorry but 4 months IS a long time when a server is just under reconstruction. Sure people might feel a sense of entitlement because they spent years of their lives playing this game, and Uthgard wouldn't be where it is without the dev crew, but also wouldn't be what it is without all the loyal players. So I don't think we're wrong to ask for an update. Just saying, stop being so critical of people asking for an update. Everyone has their own views, respect that.
