Sounds like you all are making great progress, I am so looking forward to playing on the server again. Been spending my time on a free WoW server that is overrun with hackers... ugh to both WoW and hackers.

It would be useful to appoint one of the forum mods as the community manager who is responsible for producing the "Friday grab-bag" posts.

This free's up the developers time from having to answer banal questions and still allows the players a link to the team.

It seems at the moment that Trishin and Juna do the posting when they should be doing other things :)

As to the actual news, it's all good.

You are kind of right.. no new news is still news and will keep ppl attached... a weekly update even if there is nothing new would give a great feeling of there is something going on... your readers volunteer for this job of - how was that lady called? - Grab bag Sonja? Sanja? Sanya?

One of the performance issues we could run into is that in the first days our patch server will get quite some load. A possible solution to this will be to let you automatically patch your client in advance before launch day. There is quite some amount of client data to be patched to get your DAoC client back to old times and Uthgards setup.

okay, which version do i need for relaunch and where do i patch my daoc?

There has been no announced release date as yet so there will be no information on how to patch your client.

we will just have to wait until the news implies the Dev's are near completion, before we can expect an answer to "when" and "how".

It's understandable that you want to focus your time on fixing the server but I think I can speak for all of us when I say that an update once a week even if small, would be greatly appreciated by the Uthgard community.
