I'm desperate to play again, but if blue is the only one working, we're looking at years remaining even at a good pace. I'd love to be wrong, and I desperately hope I am, but all these emulator projects are painful to develop even with multiple people. As a programmer, I don't envy how much work he has ahead of him.

Yep, and this won't change since blue made it "best practice" to use the ASP loophole in the GPL license to keep his source closed. An especially douche move since he is a former DOL dev and to put a cherry on that pile of crap, not only DOL itself is ripped by that, but also everyone who ever contributed to Uth. The GPL was clearly not chosen for DOL with such behaviour in mind, and the outcome is obvious today: There is no more progress going on in that field. Just in case this isn't obvious: Without DOL Uth would pretty much not exist. Anyway... there isn't much that can be done about it unless people stop to support servers that do not at least publish core features. There still would be room left to keep some unique stuff closed without screwing the whole community. my two cents p.s. theres plenty of stuff available for a good read on that very topic. Generally speaking as well as in regard to DOL. Just google for DOL, GPL, AGPL, ASP loophole.
