Unfortunately this type of cheap hearsay is beginning to hold to much weight to pass by. For many months now things have kept growing more and more incredulous regarding the non-informative status of the server. But now, as we roll on two years of downtime, not to mention the epically bad 6+ months of nerfs the predated the reset, we get into the true reality that Uth is most likely never coming back. Or if it does, it will honestly never be the same. The toll this down time has had on the Gms, the dedicated players, the pseudo fans, the donors...and especially on Blue himself...all just leaves me feeling completely hopeless for a vibrant Uth future. As much as I desire against it, I feel that I must capitulate and join the ranks of the naysayer assholes like Revlain (or however you spell his idiot name) to say that I really do not feel like Uth is coming back. There is to little momentum to overcome the gap, and even if it does relaunch...who is here to play? Sure a few people might come back out of the wood work to join again, but outside of the crazy addicted...there is just no one left. Sad to say, but this Falls falling leaves are to me synonymous with Uths swan song. I have believed in a dream for so long...but now I acquiesce and call a spade a spade. Goodbye Uth, Goodbye Blue and Gms, and Goodbye my fellow Uthgardians. Maybe we can still revive the dream someday if a miracle occurs...but as of now, the glory days are gone, most likely never to come again.

As an aside...perfectionism and hubris should both be considered as potential pitfalls before undertaking any project in life. I have certainly learned some lessons here that will linger with me for a lifetime.

PS - I know how badly it hurt endgame RVR, but I just have to say that Thid was ****** awesome. I will never forget those amazingly fun times, and Braemar as well. Wish it could have lasted forever.

i read this with the titanic theme song in my head. so beautiful

They should have kept thid as it was the only way for new players to compete vs old players and let's not forget it was pretty fun. The simple fact that towards the end they removed this clearly shows that they did not have Uthgards longevity in mind. They where just dividing the population further and further with every change, making it harder and harder. The server went from a fun casual(but still competitive rvr) to a elite bias server which was the worst move. The removal of Barrels, farm spots which allowed new players to get started, and many rvr changes which made no sense.

Whether or not it was intentional we will never know, but it definitely happen and maybe all of this is to much for Uthgard. What does Uthgard expect to achieve as it's adversary (Genesis) continues to become stronger. We might laugh at genesis, but I'm sure they have done way more to their server then what Uthgard has down since downtime. I can't confirm this but the silence and lack of information does it for me. I think it's time we knew how far Uthgard has gone since the last true update which was over 5 months ago. Where is Blue, Nayru, and TheKrokodil who where once quite active on the forums?

I always tell everyone how awesome uthgard was and how much better it was to genesis, but I feel at this rate those players will never get the chance to play on uthgard. Something dreadful has happen in Uthgards core which is being told to us through acts of silence, ignoring, and lack of information. I think it's also time I stop checking the forums as I have EVERYDAY since Uthgard went down. When you look at "the big pciture", you begin to realize how little we actually know. We have been treated like how the 1% treats the rest of human kind, like sheep.

So I propose we stop this nonsense and create a silence on these forums that as never been seen before. Force them to come out of their shell or continue to lose the hearts of players who have cried, sweat, and bled for this server. I can't do it alone, but if enough of us just stop caring maybe then they will choose to open their doors, or if they continue their silence then the true goal will show itself, the inevitable death of Uthgard.
