I've played here for a number of years, and yes, I finally made my forum account.

I wasn't known. I logged in once in a blue moon, or for an obsessive weekend, but I always came back. Basically, I was one of the very silent majority that never really impacted the server. But, the server impacted me.

Thus, it was a surprise when I felt that awful feeling you get when you feel like you've lost something when I went to log in and the server said "check the forums and thanks for understanding."

This was always a good place in my (limited) experience. Yes, there are jerks everywhere, but I never met one here. I played EQ until 2010 and then took a break from MMOs for a few years due to burnout. But, I'll be there when this goes live again. And I'll spread the word amongst those I know that still talk about the good old days.

I'm sorry for all the veterans. I have a cleric in EQ that is now collecting dust, but was once elite. It would have broken my heart to lose him. You have my condolences. And should you return, you have my respect. That kind of fortitude and forgiveness takes a lot of toughness and wisdom.

So are the server down for good or what?

I played on the Uthgard server a few years back with a small group of friends and reached the end-game content on each realm. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and I am excited to see all of the hard work you all are putting in to take the Uthgard server to the next level with all of the new implementations and new patches. Stopping by to say that the group of friends I played with have had their interests sparked once again by your server and we are looking forward to the finished product .
