Nayru stated somewhere that there won't be any other wipe in the future, just too lazy to look for it right now.
But wouldnt be too sure 'bout that, they also said in the past that there will never be a wipe and now ... well uth is down^^

Not trying to be rude, but is there any time frame for when this will get released? I have yet to see anything about when this might actually happen. Even if it is not correct it is better than nothing.

I will state that my understanding of relaunch will be something in between May 2014 (hopefully) to sometime in 2015 (pessimistically) depending on how much the dev's have in their free time to work on everything. Emphasis on the "free time" aspect. ;)

Disclaimer: For what it is worth, these are my impressions from reading the forums and working on the defense penetration team.

read a lot of post regarding "Uthgard Vets" not standing for a wipe , and not coming back after relaunch. Most of these topics are locked now so I'm posting this here.

Well let me start off by saying I started DAOC in 2003, and played many many years on live. Came to Uthgard in 2010...

I heard about orgins and it got me interested in Daoc again. Played there for a tiny bit to get the juices flowing. Then heard about Uthgard 2.0 and read A LOT about the future plans.

Myself along with my fellow gamers from daoc hayday have stayed in touch over the years venturing out to other games every now and again, and are all very excited about Uthgard 2.0.

This "wipe" is what has us the most intrigued. It is a very smart decision, made by very smart people as you can see from all the success they had over the years, being the #1 DAOC freeshard EVER without any doubts. While I give "Cody" and the orgins team a lot of credit for attempting to give the ungrateful DAOC playerbase something to enjoy. They simply do not have the experience, knowledge, or expertise that Blue and the Uthgard staff have accumulated all these years...

while it is true that we are much older now and have more resposibilities in life now more than ever, we will be here. You will find many more veteran players coming out of the woodwork to play on this relaunched server. I heard arguments that we will quit after getting rolled by 40hr/week full time players. This is simply not true. This is why.....As we know, anyone still interested in DAOC is a vet, not some "fresh" new person. We know the ins and outs so dont for a second think you are superior in skill and or knowlefdge of the game. Most importantly, with our busy lives and responsibilities, we have dedicated windows of play time, meaning if we get steamrolled by another group, we dont log/ragequit(couldnt stand when this mentality developed) we dont log, pick our nose for a while, then come back later. A). us older peeps dont have that quitter attitude, we were with this game through ups and downs just happy to be playing, B) We're busy, we play as much as we can, when we can.

Lastley, I remember when "classic" live released, I was very against playing there as I spent countless hours developing my toons on Morgan Le Fay, only to start over again...Well I did, and so will you with Uthgard 2.0, say you wont all you want but this is going to be a great move for this server. Kudos to Blue and the crew.. you guys always acted professional, and showed nobility, high level knowledge. Very impressive.

@Foshi:

"We still cannot estimate any potential release date for relaunching, but we will need one or two months for sure. We will keep you up to date!"

This so much. Time is only temporary. Levels can be regained. People forget. This is a FREEshard. I am grateful and will be awaiting the relaunch
