I read the post above over and over. Either the post was meant to be funny or it was serious. If serious, I find it hard to believe given Kross's posts on this forum. If this is based on in game chat that I am not aware of then I stand corrected.

I myself try to never post negative statements directed at individuals. I treat everyone in game with respect. I have seen poor player etiquette in these past few years and honestly leaders in this game must adhere to a higher level of etiquette than the players they serve. Leaders must set an example that community will follow. This goes for admins, alliance leaders, guild leaders and groups leaders. To some, it is all about winning and in some cases getting there competition ticked off. I try not to play with these people. It is as if small number of players are saying "Learn to play or quit as I don't want to play with noobs and losers on this server. It is all about me and my need to be seen as a winner and obtain wealth". I do not need friends like that in my life and I will not play with them on this server.

Uthgard is a free Service offered to DAOC player community. Both server and community can not exist without the other. RvR is the biggest issue on this server in my opinion as everyone wants to increase there toons realm rank. You have players that want to play in small man or solo and others that want to play as full groups. Each has their reasons for doing so. There are players that can not compete solo or in small man and need the support of their group. People complain when there small man is zerged and they rage quit so that there is no more enemy to fight or they zerg with a superior group of players as a retalliation which in turn cause players to quit. Yet, the most fun I have in this game is when both sides are evenly matched and the fights last for many minutes. Many people want to win at all cost and when they can't (they quit, blame others, play only with others players that can make them winners). They have no patience for players with less experience or skill. This attitude impacts RvR participation and impacts the community as a whole. No server changes can correct this problem. We need leaders who demand no zerging of enemy by their group. We need leaders that inforce fair play. There are leaders out there and they must step up and show the rest the way. There will always be trouble makers that will try to cause issues in the community, Dont give them attention. Ignore them and they will either fall in line or quit.

I will pass judgment then, because I know you. Luydor is correct. You are hot headed and not a good fit for a level headed council. I do not recommend to the council that Krossfire be apart of this. Not to mention you have periods of months at a time you aren't even on the server.

try reading then before you post, i never asked to be so in fact i said for papabear to be so. and if you consider speaking out as being hot headed then crying in quiet like others so nothing changes... then yes i am in fact hot headed. but unlike others who cry about everyone, theres very few things i do speak out upon.

and you are correct i do spend months out of the game.... i was gone 3 months and just got back. there are plenty of reasons why you would not fit either there sheldor, but i have the integrity not to put my thoughts about an alliance member in the public forum that would attempt to degrade them.

what about Gagnastiak (Jabberjaw)

he is adult, leads the biggest (US timezone) Ally on Midgard, and i think everyone likes and trusts him
he would be a great candidate imo

Im sorry Kross. I want to send a pm to Papabear like you see at the headline. He propose you and i want to give him a reason why i don't think that is a good idea. Well I judgement people without knowing them? What should I else do ^^? I can only see what people are writing in forum and can maybe talk with them in ts but not much more.

I spoke with Jabberjaw and he is not up but he will look for one from his alliance.

Just do not discuss it in public and hand out a list of the council when it's done.
If it's not elected there is no need to make a public thread + sh it storm.

People should be happy about everyone willing to join this council, because it sounds really demotivational and just sucks up their playtime. I'm here for playing not for posting huge walls of text out of a neutral position and I guess most of you as well ;p
So let them form a council and we see if it helps - probably not "Michael Berry"

does the information disseminated in "The Council" get shared with the community at any point before a decision is made or do we just have to accept that whatever this elite group decide is going to please everyone?

If the information is not to be shared, what is to stop the council members sharing this information with their guild or playmates so that they can take "early first mover advantage" over the rest of the uninformed?

You misunderstand the council. Its more an advisor for the staff and for having more efficient discussions. The decisions will be made like before but with more players involved. Critical exploitable upcoming changes won't be discussed. I assume that in the case decisions were made, the council will emit news from time to time.
