lordgriffon wrote:Oh by the way... ever seen a group of 8 smite clerics? Or play against a group like that? I have. Absolute devastation. The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

Pretty much EVERYONE is waiting around genesis for uthgard to reopen so they can jump ship. There is so much broken there it's frustrating. They don't even have the mobs dmg and attack speed right. Nor do they have the armor tables correct. I can't wait for a real server. I'm sure there will be bugs, but I'm guessing general game mechanics will be better on uthgard. Whenever this server opens back up I'll be playing here.

I keep flip flopping what I want to play. I'm tempted to play a mentalist or eld.

If this server opened up in it's current state, I would still play on it :) Bugs and all.

I too am struggling to decide what I want to play. I love the Theurg for its soloing, also love the BD if they fix it or the necro if they implement it, Druids are pretty fun though as well.

I have to agree with all the reasonably frustrated people, I do not use the word impatient for a reason. I honestly don't care about these grab bags. I have faith that Uthgard staff will be fair in what they do and do not implement. That being said, the best way for them to get suggestions, if they actually need ideas, would just be to open the server and get feedback that way. Yes it might be buggy. Yes it might crash. Yes there might be rollbacks and people will lose progress. All that aside, I can guarantee that those in the Uthgard community would have a lot more to offer, with regards to helpful feedback, if they were allowed in the server than what they have to offer after reading these grab bags. Obviously this is opinionated and bias, but I lose more and more faith everyday the server is down and I would be willing to bet I am not the only one. It also is not reassuring that Uthgard's population is always 0. Makes me wonder how much of what has been implemented has been tested for bugs and compatibility. Again it may be an opinionated statement, but I believe the best way to test what has been implemented is to open the server, even as a beta, and see how people respond. It doesn't have to be wide open either. Maybe pick some dedicated members from the community and let a select few in to play around and respond to changes/gameplay. It would at least give the skeptical ones, like myself, some reassurance that there is indeed progress being made. Hate me if you want, I know I am not the only one with this idea. I eat popcorn by the handful, not a kernel at a time...
