And it's still one more viable heal than cleric
I am assuming direct control.

Now that they have competition it's starting to bring out the "German" in the staff on uthgard in churning out a high quality product and making it clearly better than their competition. I have two questions that I wonder if someone from the dev team will answer.

Target is 1.65 which is obviously a good version. There are however, going to be some custom aspects to it (such as Battlegroups and Qbinds from later versions). Will either of the following aspects remain true?

1) Will alb have access to 75 str/con charge? This was added in 1.68 but without it alb will be the only realm without access to this charge, a significant disadvantage for solos/smallman.

2) Will new uthgard have livelike potions? IE you can make potions with 3, 6, 9 charges that just require more mats. I think 9 was the highest. Or will we just be stuck with 1 potion 1 charge which slows the entire game down unnecessarily in my opinion.

I heard there was a S/C charge on Caer Sidi but I couldn't find it. I didn't check every single item though.
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt
[3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck

The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

there is but it's on the minstrel flute so only mincer can have it. later in 1.68 they added str/con charge to Dur'aegs cloak of the embrace which drops from Dur'aeg in Avalon City. But thats why i ask because it was a 1.68 change.

I think no buff shears is an excellent choice!

any comment by gms about custom stuff on uthgard btw? i think we all expect no buffbots, rvr missions and housing as staying custom.
but what about the other comunity wishes/countercustom changes like barrels/recharge stones/wyverns etc.

imo you should only do custom stuff on uthgard (thats not event based) to counter custom rules that will stay in place for tecnical reasons (like no buffbots/ani pet cap because of server load).

ao are we getting barrels/recharge stones now?

Removing stuff because of short-sightedly following patch-notes has sure worked well in the past. People were absolutely ecstatic when barrels/porters/hasteners/etc. were removed right? Luckily we have some people here on the forums that have no clue what made the 2001-2004 so great to show us the way.

After internal discussion and gathering information from players, we have decided to set 1.65 as our stated patch goal opposed to 1.69 before. This was the last patch before ToA hit live servers and is seen by us as the most consistent state of the game we could bring. Our vision for the server remains, "provide a classic experience of Dark Age of Camelot that represents the state of the game in 2003".

Warm regards,
Your Uthgard Staff.

I had hope that uthgard changes are made with brain, now that you have a few new gms.
I was foolish to think so again... nothing changed, there still seems to be no one in the staff who actually knows what the rvr community wants nor one that actually did a huge amount of rvr during that time on live.
Removing buffshears in rvr is the dumbest decision you made so far. 1.65 was NOT! what the community saw as most balanced patch for old ras!
Welcome back no brain assist train. Welcome back that no one wants to play druid/shaman/cleric ... especially cleric, turn on bof and go afk till the fight is over because there wont be much to do for you in most fights.

I dont know why you guys are so learning resistend - making pvm or in this case pvp more boring for most of the group members will result in less people playing /doing pvp. Especially when you cut the main supporters, who are needed in every group, less people will want to play them > less groups will run after the initial hype and more and more groups will disappear because waiting in the boarder keep for support classes will be as boring as it was 2003 on live. This is just simple logic and the experience from live during that time.
Come on, dont do that crap, show that you have learned at least something.

If you read the GMs post you would see one reason why they did 1.65 was to help the Casual player. (and thats 90% of the server?)
i think they are using their "brain" if you help keep the casual player here its better for the server!

and also they did state that once they launch that they will be working with the community to help with any "changes" that might/need happen.

in stead of slamming them down, why don't you attempt to build them up.
stating i disagree instead of calling some one stupid is a big difference.
