Actually daoc is a game, you know.. being spoiled in a game isn't that bad whereas getting bored in a game by walking hours while you play a game kinda sucks.

Well.. people who do not like TPs and "luxurious" npcs can also not use them, can't they ?

I would say just give it some time and see how it all falls into place.

Once every thing is tested for a few weeks, then add some advice or a wish list. just to make things easyer and better :+)

well... some of you seem to forgot which way is always going Uthgrad. Classic like live server no more. Well, I guess this will kill everyone to walk 2 min to get to castle savage by horse. And what if they would implement the 15 min delay teleport and remove all the porters, so we teleport into a bg with the necklace we buy like live classic style.

Removing TPs doesn't bother me that much as I alt-tab during horse runs but is it possible then to make the automatic horse network denser?


If I want to reach to reach Innis Carthaig, I usually teleport to TNN and then I get the horse from TNN North straigth to Innis. Isn't it possible to have a horse straight to Innis from Mag Mell and/or Druim Ligen? It would spare a lot of time while still showing respect to the not-that-much-TP features of the Classic servers.


I have also noticed the boat system is not used at all in Hibernia while it is used a lot in Albion, maybe the staff could have a look at the reasons of these player preferences in order to make transportations easier for everyone.

in that case could you bump up implementing new horses (faster ones?)

cause in alb you use boat to go to DF... in hib you just teleport to your castle and DF is very close, so no need of boat

i dont know the hibs boat routes. but with the big river i guess it wuold be nice. for albs there baots stop as soon as you cross into the next zone . our baots are a cammie hills only deal. you can goto :

pryden keep bridge (WHY?)
Darkness falls ( only boat used).
cross over the zone line onto the shore on the Salisbury plains( good for lowbes who cant afford ).

basically 1 boat is good .

now go test the mids boats. one boat take you from jord to nathain (old SI portal). does this bye crossing the lake. this is like having a 45 second ride from Camelot to Avalon marsh.

im sure when mythic build this they knew one realm had alot of water to build boats routes. and they knew this would be unfair compared. again it was not a issue since we could always port to Avalon marsh as soon as SI was released. they build boats because it was COOL to do.

i still dont understand how you guys bring up the CLASSIC SERVER ONLY argument every time it fits. but you have NONE classic stuff like boats in the meantime.

Because you get people like me who want to go to prydwen keep/bridge but also want to go AFK on the way so you dont have to jump off

Just because I wanted to have a few more routes because Albion does not have many waterfilled places and let the people get to those points without jumping off. But if it seems to be sensless I am able to remove them again, of course.

think who will want to use this baot? what level wants to goto east plains? lvl 8-20's? how can a lvl 8 afford 1 gold for a ticket? remeber not everybody has lvl 50's or even ANY toon to hand down this 1 gold. peopple level 8 and new to servor has to save every last coin just to buy store items. my first toon i gone to lvl 20 with lvl 5-10 drops til somebody gave me stuff.

The removal of the TP's is nothing to complain about. Once you are in the BG or NF you dont have to take that travel again. So what. 2-3 minutes of riding once in 2-4 hours is that hard?

You will enter NF at the borderkeep and will then be able to port by /warmap directly to your owned keeps or the nearby TK (the fallback safe spot). If you die you will /release in the borderkeep and you are immediately ready to port into the action. Theres nothing you will lose. Theres no loading screen after death.
