thank you soooo much for making this historical moment possible... this is really no joke. i've been waiting for this day, this moment, since early 2004.

in love,

M.

A new server for Uth? :P No, seriously i'm just fooling around, I think many people have waited for OF on a mature server since NF came out. Me included! :D

Great work staff, I hope the improvements won't stop there, but I don't think they will. ;)

I think it would be interesting to know the new maximum capacity for Uthgard.

Me and my guild have been planning to create an Uthgard-promo clip for quite some time now. OF would one of our main items, but before we start recording anything, it could be nice to know whether or not Uthgard can handle more than the current population. ;)

This depends on how many players are in one place at once and how much action it is. If there are 200 players in one place this could have serious influence on server performance.

It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

I see, however is there a new server population cap in general like the current (or old) 700?

We'll see how the gameplay at 700 players will evolve. The current limit is set to 800, but I think the new server can handle that easily. Currently we have 450 players online and the cpu sleeps at 10-15% usage... :)
The better question is the bandwidth needed. Especially when many players meet at one position, a lot of traffic is caused.
