If you or anyone else know the answers to any of them. Or where I can find it please PM me.
Not to mention the OLD RA weapon styles.. lol, wonder how those can be tested/researched/invented

How it worked back on live in 1.65 doesn't really matter to me though. It is how they decide to implement them on Uthgard that matters. If no one can or want to answer questions about game mechanics I guess I'll just have to be patient and test how it works when the server back.

That's the DAOC spirit!
“DAOC is not about what you can log. It's about what you can play :> ”
Uthgard 1.0: <Die Lettanten> Ivia - 8L8 Nightshade - Lone Enforcer since 8L1. Uthgard 2.0: <Illuminated Stormriders> Oxy - Hero; Ivia - Nightshade.

All I know is Genesis is going down hill fast, they keep screwing crap up. Uthgard needs to return to save the day. Just like the Lions in Voltron.

You are right. And that's why I think it is good they are taking their time (although ofc I want to play asap); the better the server, the more players and more fun. Is there any info on how many players the server can take without problems, is there a player cap?

They will be doing a stress test in the future, but my guess is at least 1500 should be the target number. My question is will there be a completed item database for users to make templates from instead of hoping it's been implemented and correctly implemented. The item database was already fine before, so I ´m pretty sure it will be nearly the same with relaunch. But there will be less items then before with removal of Tajendi and edit of darkness falls etc. Shrouded Isles will be added later, but I think the core build of SI had most items implemted and Abydos said the ROG (random drops) system will work, so I ´m petty sure it will be good. About playernumbers,- I guess 1500 is a too small bet. At the start everyone wants to play as much as possible to reach lvl. 50 and in europe prime time 1500 won ´t even fit the german playernumbers. Better expect 3000+ at europe primetime,- these numbers made Genesis struggle. I hope it will be better at Uthgard. The 3000 playercap was a bug at Genesis afaik but with the zone freeze and lagspikes it really didn ´t matter anyway .

I might be wrong but I remember a 2000 players cap back in the days when I started playing (~march 2011) and the server was overpopulated.

I might want to rephrase it then: at about 2000 players the server started lagging Any rough idea on how many clients the server will be able to support before it starts having issues?

The big difference between Genesis and Uthgard in regards to player cap is this.
Genesis' code is absolute ******.
Uthgard's code has been refined over years and polished so that the sever can handle MORE numbers than Genesis with LESS powerful server hardware.
I am not worried about a player cap for Uthgard 2.0 relaunch.

And you know this because you are a developer or perhaps a stress tester, or because you are just speculating? There is no reason to doubt that Uth's code has had more attention then Origin's, but please don't speak as if you are in the know unless you actually are. It confuses the rest of us plebes greatly.
