As it stands we will be launching without Shrouded Isles but the classes will be available on launch. We will continue our efforts with Shrouded Isles once the server is back up.

What about charges that are just available without si for some realms. Eg s/c charge?

Can't fix Alb problems? It's ok, you can give us Half-Ogres to make up for it :)

Well, when Nayru posted on Feb. 2, 2014, he said the following: "Our current goals are the completion of missing features that have been announced long time ago. Precisely this means old realm abilities, complete classes and the Shrouded Isles expansion will be available when we're relaunching."

So, initially the SI expansion was coming. Now it's not. Interesting.

That was announced over a year ago.

Our entire keep and relic system (along with our siege weapons) have been reconstructed

I am VERY curious about what that means. Having played on Uthgard since 2006, I have seen most of its "stages" and the only REALLY problematic of them, in my opinion, was once Old Frontiers map replaced New Frontiers. The reason is mostly because of how imensely different the siege game was in these two maps. Specifically NF was better at siege game then OF, its design allowed a much more sofisticated siege game: attacking walls, inner keeps, using ballistas, oil cauldrons, catapults, claiming surrounding towers for a useful purpose... And the diminutive apparatus! Man was it neat to use those diminutive ballistas and cattapults on walls...

OF keeps were just buildings that people went to for finding adversaries. Those keeps were so uninteresting that there was no point on being inside one of them, as you could barely get any LOS from walls on anyone attacking (or to walls on anyone defending). Being inside a keep was basically waiting those outside to brake the door and enter. Once an attacking party arrived the place the defending party would just step out for open field game. No suprise so much boni and rewards for claiming and keeping those buildings: taking and defending them was uniteresting, so there HAD to be a reward for the thing to happen.

Since I like siege more then open field, I obviously liked NF more then OF. I just hope that "reconstructing keep and relic system along with siege weapons" means actually TURNING siege in OF as fun as in NF. It would necessarily HAVE to be a custom non 1.65 though...

Well, there was siege in OF, it just didn't break the walls.
You had ballistas (anti-siege), catapults (aoe for players) and 1 person rams.

But there were bonuses like RvR +Damage, RP earned, etc for owning keeps both as a realm and guild. Those can really stack up to make as much difference as the relics.

The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

It's not exactly a problem for fix, it always been that way
yes... is frustrating train also slash for two hands/polearm (I played whit armsman 2h on 1.56-60)
but it was something that we must complain to the mythic in the past not now.

AND half-ogre race was present only in ToA... not SI
