Hello Community!

As the title already says there are good and bad news today. Let's start with the more unpleasant topics. Yesterday, we had to perform several larger spot corrections. One spot in Emain was completely removed, other spots in Raumarik were cut down and matched to Live. Furthermore, some drop rates of sell-loot (which were 10 times too high!) were reduced. We don't have a full measurement of this money exploit, yet, but a rough estimate comes up with 5-8 kills per 100 g.

Internally, this had already some consequences, i.e. the GM in charge had to take his leave. Additionally, we'll consider any player report rather sceptical from now on because the drop rate has been off-balance for over 3 months but there wasn't a single report about it. (We finally found out by some investigations in our logs.) This means the community's credibility has dropped to another low for the moment.

With this said, let's get to the good news. The staff has decided to start a Players Council. It will be formed by one member (maybe more at some later time) of each realm. The purpose will be to communicate the realms' opinions (trends, grievances, problems and needs) to us as well as working together to find a solution. We've already contacted our candidates for these positions. The group will be supervised by Presto and Nayru. This also means a change for our volunteers. From now on they will be a sub-group of Technics & Development. Their goal is to improve accuracy compared to Live servers and to hunt down bugs. They will no longer be concerned with server politics. This group will be supervised by Blue.

In response to the spot problems we decided to re-do all levelling spots in Emain and implement a new concept which is supposed to use more area and to be more balanced for everyone. This task has been given to Endiku.

Our final note for today goes to the Advisor system. Following the next reboot there will be some more hints promoting this feature in-game. This will hopefully result in a better usage of this form of help.
