"A week ago the first snowflakes danced on the wind. Now, everything is coated with inches of white powder.
A little arctic hare nibbles on some plants that it has dug from the snow. Startedly, it ****** it's ears and then
speeds off in a frenzied flight. In the distance there's an increasing clamor and shouting.
"

General:
Like Tajendi, this event will take place in a custom zone. You'll be facing other players in a good old snowball fight (or Deathmatch, call it how you want).

When creating this zone, we used some of the elements we want to introduce new in Tajendi Part II like more detailed textures and own models, so now you might know what expects you in the future :)

Details:
- The event will be a PvP event. No realms, no groups, no mercy!
- The zone will be accessible from [SEE BELOW] using the SI-Portals
- In the zone you will have to look for snowballs to throw at your opponents. You can grab snowballs by rightclicking on the snow hills (marked by red conned npcs).
- For each 'kill' you'll receive scores.
- When releasing after being killed, you will appear somewhere in the zone
- You will need Catacombs or higher; I'm afraid ToA won't work either this time; don't know why.
- Important: To get out of the X-mas zone, use /returnhome
- In order to keep the balance between players there will be several restrictions:
    * You cannot use spells/styles/weapons.
    * When you're hit you'll not loose a fixed amount but a certain percentage of HP.
- You can heal yourself at warm places with fire when you are out of combat
This will ensure that even a level 1 can take on a level 50 without being totally disadvantaged.

Event times
Kills are only counted on these dates:

Sunday, 16.12.2007
Saturday, 22.12.2007
Sunday, 23.12.2007

Kills are counted in the time range
18:00 (GMT+1) - 21:00 (GMT+1)

You can still enter the zone for fun on other times.

Rewards:
- As soon as the event has started you can find a ranking for all players in the Herald.
- To qualify for a reward you need at least 5 kills and a score > 0
- The following rewards are sorted by rank, meaning the best player gets reward [1], the second [2], ..
    [1] ToA Item-Reskin + RA Respec
    [2] ToA Item-Reskin + Full Respec
    [3] ToA Item-Reskin + Single Respec

[4] Glow Effect + RA Respec
[5] Glow Effect + Full Respec

[6] Dragon Drop + Single Respec

[7] Vial of heavenly breezes + Single Respec
[8] Torch of innovation + Single Respec
[9] Dust of creation + Single Respec

    [10] Full Respec

    [11] Vial of heavenly breezes
    [12] Torch of innovation
    [13] Dust of creation
    [14] Cauldron of vivifying water

    [15] Single Respec

    [1-20] + Reindeer Pet
    [1-30] + Event-Title

Note: Please read the license that you can find in the Tajendi Thread.

Download:
1.) You need to have DAoC-Portal installed because it contains a mod manager.

2.) Download the SnowZone plugin: (14.8 mb)
# Mirror #1 (rapidshare.com)
# Mirror #2 (file-upload.net)

3.) Extract the plugin into your <daoc>\mods\ directory (you may need to create the "mods" directory in your daoc dir).

4.) Doubleclick on the plugin (.dmm file), and DAoC-Portal will add it into its mod manager.

5.) Start DAoC-Portal, set your client-directory and open the mod manager.

6.) Enable the plugin by checking it and then click on 'Patch'. Patching may take some seconds.

7.) If everything worked fine, you should now have a patched client containing the X-mas zone.

8.) Talk to Santa Claus to enter the X-mas zone.

9.) Have fun!

Just to balance it a bit more and give non-all-time-players a better chance, there have been made several changes after the first test run:
* Kills will only be counted from 18:00 -> 21:00 (GMT+1)
* Kills will only be counted on the 16th, 22th and 23th (week ends)
* Deaths will be counted too
* Score is determined by Kills minus Deaths

* Lowered casttime for snowballs
* Skillusage completly forbidden
* You now get to the zone using teleporters

New:
* fireplaces will regenerate your health when not in combat
* rewards will only be given on the 24th to players with a score >= 3

idee SUPER

gratuliere dazu

Is it possible to keep both tajendi and X-mas pluings activated?

PS: very cool idea, thanks for the time spent on this event! :D

Sickness stört nach respawn
Pots sollen funktionieren

Nice Idea, but u should disable the prices or chose prices which are only decoration. The balance in this event is not given and most ppl will abuse this and try to get one of the prices.

Nice Event!

Hope I'll get one of the drops,

if you need money and get a drop - ask me, we 'll make a good deal!

Hope RAs and Stealth and pots and spells casted in another arey won't work again!

Gegenvorschlag:

PS: Sry for german but my english isnt good...

why the hell some people keep speaking german in english section...?

i think we should see what will be the event before complaining. staff members are not stupid and know what they have to do.

The following decision was made for this event:

Kills are only counted on these dates:

Sunday, 16.12.2007
Saturday, 22.12.2007
Sunday, 23.12.2007

Kills are counted in the time range
18:00 (GMT+1) - 21:00 (GMT+1).

So you have 3 hours to fight.

You can still enter the zone on other times for fun.
