Denizens of Uthgard Attend!

The time has come when the Easter bunny hides his special eggs around the land, but trouble abounds! He has been sighted in a burrow he made within ancient Norse burial grounds but he needs your help to make easter a success. Beware, however, as this burrow holds secrets not known for time immemorial. Explore the depths of the burial grounds as Albion, Hibernia, and Midgard struggle for dominance and to show the Easter bunny who is most worthy.

Event explanation

At 8 PM CET (2 PM Eastern, 11 AM Pacific for our North American players) on Friday, April 6th, a portal will open in Cotswold, Mularn, and Mag Mell that will take you to the Burial grounds. The event will be open for 3 hours. You will enter in a small, defended safe area. If you venture beyond the safe area, you are subject to RVR with the other realms. Explore with your realm mates to find various PVE encounters scattered around the zone. Discover their secrets while battling enemy realms. Each successful kill will grant players magical eggs that are of great value and can be exchanged for Uthalis from the Easter reward merchant. Rewards are awarded upon successful kill of the encounter, therefore, you should can leave at any time with the reward you have earned. There are certain secrets to each encounter you are encouraged to discover. Also note that the harder the encounter, the greater the reward. Good luck!

lordgriffon wrote:Oh by the way... ever seen a group of 8 smite clerics? Or play against a group like that? I have. Absolute devastation. The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

I would appreciate it if the event reward was something a little more useful than Uthalis. I think we can agree that unless GMs plan on seriously upping their game with regards to events and their frequency (= means to earn Uthalis), that Uthalis are useless to 99% of the server population.

So why don't you come up with something a little more creative and specific to this particular event so that there is a real chance of taking something home from this other than a largely pointless currency that gets bought up by the super-rich.

For example, now that Midgard is pushing their Zerg agenda, running in blue cloaks - make the realm cloak skins a reward for all participants. I bet that would look pretty cool. Or you know, whatever, as long as it has some use to the people that participate without locking you into a 2 year grind to get a measly reskin.

For those who don't know what I am talking about:

That would be a fun reward that is purely fluff, doesn't affect balancing in any way and would show some GM support for this whole realm pride business.

We will not give out 300+ reskins. Not now, not tomorrow, not in 100 years.
