today, i loged my cabby on uthgard, i try to port and i can't cause we don't own the keep. ===> /qtd
so my question is: am i the only one thinking that's stupid to take the keeps? that's boring and kills rvr. today alb has not his keep /who agra===> panachou every albs are on other realm/server/game/real life so small group won't loggin till you have not a bunch of people that have really nothing to do to get back the keep.

Actually i was thinking abotu this a few minutes ago. I am increasingly feeling that linking the teleportation to agramon to a keep was an ill conceived, although well intentioned idea. It's bad enough that the agramon gates are linked to owning a tower and if one loses that it opens up the rvr camp spot to endless farming by enemy realms should they choose to zerg through there, but having also to defend or retake one of the central keeps just exacerbates the issue when realms go on a rampage and take all the keeps/towers in succession. In that situation there usually is nothing you can do except hope you have a lot of willing defenders or just log out and ill leave it up to you guys to figure out which option most people seem to choose to do (at least on hib).
The central keep in agramon was a good idea but that tower (and towers in general ) are simply undefendable due primarily to the inability to enter a tower/keep while in combat. |

all is fine as it is. dont cry, claim emback.
its so easy-and maybe u can do rvr then too |

it could be fun to see the grafic of number of albs in agra when they didn't own keep and the same thing about hibs few days ago...

look at this cool thread some day ago:
http://www.uthgard-server.net/modules.p ... pic&t=8636 i think the poll should be, do you want another rvr zone with a real keep... if you remove the mg system from agramon, whats left ? cornwall ? |
|
it's not about the gates... towers etc is nice... it's about the main keeps that make that you can't port in agra and so you have to walk for 10 mins get killed and so walk again... nobody will do.
@hildorien. who said it was nice when alb own hib keep? i am the first to say to realm mates to stop defending dun crauchon in broad... but some people love bashing doors it seems. I APPOLOGY, this post is not about the agra keep himself or the tower, but about the home keeps, that are in fact not in agramon and so brings some confusions... sure we need some towers and keep in agra. i just think the home keeps should disapear, or at least you should ba able to port to agra camp even if you don't own your home keep... the "not possible to teleport" thing is tactical when you have more keeps etc... but at the moment in agramon it's totaly useless

war is developed in someone's realm, there is always invader and someone invaded, taking homekeeps is they way to cut down enemy's supplie line, without the actual setup the rvr would be just characters that kills each others to respawn and kill or be killed again.
agra is neutral zone being attacked by 3 realms in order to take its resources, and yeah its annoying cannot teleport to the action zone, at least u have speed |

i actually agree with panach here..
if you take logic into consideration, if your tele keep is under siege or even taken over by another realm, you should be able to teleport there.. i mean y not?? seriously it would make someone just quit because no one wants to even bother walkin there.. and yes the big picture of it.. it kills RvR -_- |
