Hello,
i know this topic has already been discussed many times but i think we should start it again. As many ppl noticed rvr on Uthgard atm is a crap... Whenever you log in there are no enemies in Agramon and 3 zones. I also know new agramon is comming but i dont think it will change anything. Just look how it all goes. Type /who Braemar and you'll get 10+ ppl (+ anonyms). Type /who wilton and get always 1-3 players. Type /who Thidranki and see another 5+ players. Then type /who Agramon/Odins Gate etc and what?? Powerfull 3-5 players in the "prime time". I dont want to say it's all BGs fault but it mostly is. I can consider no /rp off comand but it's still nothing. Braemar cap is rr2. I personally reached this cap with my Ranger with 1.4k kills. What does it mean? 2-4 months of play and then another char (who wants to exp from 30 to 40 if he can level 30lvl char in a few days?). I know many will say "but you get rvr experience". Bullshit... Firstly you wont learn anything positive in Braemar and secondly you still have Wilton and Thidranki to do it. That's why i ask to remove /xp off comand. It will result in more ppl in "big" rvr. It will remove those owning twinks from BGs. It will prevent situations where ppl lvl their chars in df/realm zones and then log to BGs with cap lvl and own almost without hp lose. I expect many ppl to say that i want more greens in rvr to kill. It's true and it's not true at the same time. I want more ppl in rvr but they should come from all realms so it will stay the same. Just more ppl... If you dont like my idea pls make /xp off available only for 31+ lvls. It is really easy to lvl up a Braemar char and you can take a full cap set from your previous twink. And please let us make a right decision. Lets end with situation when 10-20 ppl log Braemar char after keep lost when "real" rvr zone stays empty all the time. Cespx |

Agree with you,Cespx
![]() Maybe not all Bgs on one time, but 1-2 would be nice. |

Well...really amusing how this idea/demand keeps occuring at regular intervals...
The problem is, that all of you, demanding the removal of the /xpoff, just don't get it: You won't be able to force people to play in the higher BG's or Agramon. The only thing you will achieve is more frustration and more people leaving or logging out. Forcing people to something always is the worst idea and way to go. But...go on, if you think that you will get Agramon more populated bye killing the braemar fun...just try it, you won't need one hand to count the player really leveling up to agramon because of this measure. Kronos PS.: No, i don't have braemar chars that i play on a regular basis, so i am not really affected by a /xpoff removal. PS2.: If you really want to change things in agramon, think about WHY people like to play in braemar instead of agramon...and work on that reason. |
|
Ppl play in Braemar because it is easy. 5 days lvling, 1 day craft and you're unbeatable for 70% of Brae players. Those 70% play in BG because they mostly didnt even try Agramon rvr. I dont want to be rude or underestimate Albion realm but we've met your (albion) grp and they could see what BG/pvm raid grp really mean in rvr...

force people to do what you want... that's really not a good idea.
i don't want people that arrive in agramon without being able to recognize an enemy class or even don't know what buff do to a class or things like that. let people do what they want, that's a game. till they don't break the fun of other players they are free to do what they want. and hmm btw, even with XP off you can suicide...

@Cespx Hey, you are funny ^^
In a "remove /xpoff" topic you bash alb. ![]() ![]() Once again you don't get it: People play in braemar (levelers excluded) because there they get the fun they lack in agramon or anywhere else. Most of the people you are aming at have at least one lvl50 char in their arsenal. Wel...there may be a reason why they don't play the char they leveled for months with hard work. The reasons are many and various. But the have one thing in common: They don't have as much fun in agramon or other highlevel areas as they have in braemar at that special moment. So...now you take them their possibility of playing in braemar away. What do you think will happen? They will cheer and go to agramon with their 50er char or level up their lvl31 char (especially with the current xp rate) to agramon? You really think that? Then go to starting point and think again... I know many people who play and played in braemar and they all had one thing in common: They did not want to play in agramon/emain at the time. So, with removing their possibility to play in brae you will encourage them to log out. Nothing more. Just thin about it: You have one middle-rate BG (braemar) and one low-rated 50er RvR (agramon). Now you want to get people into agramon RvR. So, what do you do? Remove the middle-rate BG? Well, just a stupid idea, because the RvR in the low-rated 50er RvR zone won't get better by this measure. Destroying other peoples fun to increase your own is wrong and won't work. You have to make "your game" (aka 50er RvR) more interesting and more desireable for the braemar folks. Thats the solution you should work on! Kronos |

the reaso ppl stay in braemar as long as possible is simple,
the gap between braemar and agramon is huge and no fun al all.. the rp/off command has been removed, so pl who play braemar all the time get kicked out after some time, that also was done due to whines to force people to go to emain... just look at the ammount of wilton chars that haven't been played for ages.. only thing that can make agramon attractive for everyone is putting all rr back to 0 if you ask me.. the difference between experienced and older chars, and the newcommers is so hughe that there is no fun in trying to go rvr for the "fresh meat" i know, it's harsh to say that, but it is simply the truth.. going agramon with a fresh lvl 50 is certain death, you get farmed for rp's, like you got farmed when you tried to lvl in emain before.... don't blame staff or new players for the crappy rvr, blame the hardcore players charging out and wiping everyone that is stupid enough to go there... this is a situation that can't be changed by kicking players out of braemar, most of em will get boored and leave, or they will simply roll another char and be back in brae in a few day's... |

honestly i hate posts like this.
I dont know why u desperatly want to bang people in emain with rr2 and crap sc and less xperience. Please stop shouting remove BGs etc... Removing /rp off was already enough ... Give people time to move forward. Make level50 zone attractive. This is point not only staff has influence, but the community. Like dont cry for help if not really really needed... etc ( I know this is the part where those people cry, this is supposed to be war between realms and no 8v8 etc - cut it the crap ) @monty: not true. u can do nice rvr in the BGs and rr4 is nice starting point for the big rvr-zone. You confuse cause and effect.
If you don't like the effect, you have to fight against the cause. By the way... do you know the player counts before Uthgard has implemented the battlegrounds? Do you recognized the growth rate in this time? And now think about making battlegrounds less attractive... i think the growth rate will turn to a negative one. Kronos is right - make Agramon or the 50th RvR more attractive is the way to solve this problem. Calin *inactive*

lol, yes, sure, remove /xp off, and we're back to players jumping off the border keep walls of their realm to remove exp through exp-death, thus still staying in Braemar.
![]() If you absolutely have to remove something, it might be a far better idea to just remove the less popular BGs including lv50 rvr, and just stick with what's fun for the majority, only leaving Braemar. Please think about it for a while before making silly suggestions, could you or most of the lv50 RvR fans really be forced to play in Braemar this way, or wouldn't you just leave the server too ? No, there's only one way to get more players into big boy RvR, and that's by making it more attractive. Don't try to force, but bait players to go there. Increase Thidranki RR cap to 4l9, or introduce a lv47-50 BG with that RR cap. This way, noone will choose not to go to Agramon anymore after getting so close to their nice rr5 RA. Everyone will want to get it, and try it out for a while. |
|
And what change do you expect by such an action? The high-RR players would be there again faster than your random newcomers because they have months of experience and know how to play their characters - that is if they don't quit the server because they lost their hard-earned achievements in the past years. And why just remove all RR? Better remove all XP, too, to make it even more attractive! ![]() And finally, repeat the procedure on a regular basis as soon as anyone has reached RR5 (or 4 or 3)? Ok maybe /xp off remove is not the best solution but then give me any other. Monty said it's not fun to get wiped in rvr zone with rr2. Everyone gets wiped at the beginning. I've lvled my mentalist to 50s and started playing in Emain with rr2 l2. Do you think i was able to smash all my enemies?? Losing is also part of the game. After many deaths many flames of my realm mate "stop giving rps..." i'm already rr4l5 and it's getting better with every rp i get.
Another argument "move forward. give ppl time etc" is your main argument. But what more? There were topics about BGs 2 years ago, 1 year ago and it's still the same. Almost the same players playing in rvr zone with some entering "this world" and some quiting cause they got bored of all that. I also dont want to remove BGs. Battleground is a place where you can exp, learn your char and do low lvl rvr by the time. Thats why they have a lvl range (up to 30, 31-40, 41-46) and no the certain lvl (30,40,46) only for "BGs prostylers". @Weia Another BG? Please... Where are those allmighty rr4 players from Thidranki? Is it so difficult to lvl char from 46.5+ to 50? |

It's not only not the best solution, it's no solution at all. Make level 50 RvR more attractive for the community. Then people will think twice about playing their twink in braemar instead of having fun in the 50er RvR. It's a game: The main goal of DAoC is fun for the people playing it. People have fun in braemar at the moment. Remove that fun and you will loose the people. They will get their fun somewhere else, on another server, with another game or...most scaring: in RL. But they won't go to agramon because they do not have fun there (thats the reason they play braemar). Thats a fact. Kronos |

one reason for lots of action and ppl in braemar, is the fact that u dont have to lvl for ages to play rvr like u need for emain/agramon.
i suppose lots of new ppl on this server only do experience the low bgs, like braemar and refuse to lvl higher, enjoying rvr more than lvling. Just takes too long to get xp for them. I would be happy to have more ppl in the high bgs even if this meant that they have the opportunity to lvl in a shorter time than me ![]() (perhaps uthgard might boost the xp for a short period of time to get some more ppl into "3zones + agramon", what i am prefering ^^ )

Oh well, it was just an idea, you know. Let them get so close to rr5 that they will actually WANT to go to Agramon to do the rest. But hey, if you have any better proposals to make, I'm all ears ![]() And you're right, it's not really diffcult at all to level from 46.5 to 50. Difficulty plays no part in it, it's just that I, just as many other players, can't see a good reason to do it atm. To me, lv50 RvR doesn't have anything to offer but a lot of work, which I can do petty well without, and it's probably the same for alot of other players too who would rather have fun than be l33t ![]() |
