ok, coz of off topic reactions in bug threads i want to open a discussion about the power and dmg of stealther classes:

We know that PA and BS/BS2 damage is not correct. The problem is finding a correct formula. This topic has discussed in our volunteer forums for a long period of time. We hope for a soon fix. Discuss if you want, but it won't help in any way.

PA is to strong or not enough?
the strange thing is that stealthers can kill a pure fighter class in melee even without PA. <img src="http://www.fallenearth.fr/daoc/daoc2.php?player=Panachou">

true, especially with viper its really easy.
6 times tick for about 110 dmg is viper 2 i think.... and then you let it tick again ![]() |

But Viper has nothing to do with PA damage. The problem with PA/BS damage is, as far as i know, that there is no calculation for absorbs. You hit tanks as hard as casters, the only difference is their amount of hitpoints. Only the followup styles hit for different damage.

hib casters got even the absorb buff of 10%
hope if you someday fix it, not only armor related absorbs will count in the calculation. |

another wine thread about stealthers... why are all things that are getting fixed to stealthers disadvantage ? the bugs that stealthers have to deal with every day should then also be fixed. dont mind about lower pa dmg when dots will stack like they should do or buggy combat timer will be fixed, or what about the preparing of styles that will never be performed ? its horror to be unable to stealth for 40-50 sec. sometimes just cause of a root, or even cause of an immu timer. when dmg from stealthers is fixed their possibility to hide quickly should also be fixed !! |

and so if i understand well... you should be able to do PA greatly increased if you use legendary wapons and the enemy get debuffed in your dammage type ?
could be nice to fix the bug that you loose your target when you destealth him. @jonty: you don't have to wait. just get lot of wapons with lifeban on it and you have a add dammage of 100+ /hit ^^ <img src="http://www.fallenearth.fr/daoc/daoc2.php?player=Panachou">

plz no off topic about nuke dmg. we had this in another (a lot of others) threads.
hm, last inc from panachin were 6 ticks, dont know if you can refresh this with just hitting over the last poison. but were 6 ticks, unfortunatly no ss. |

that hurts ...so only chance to win as caster against stealthers is..maybe toughness 5 and aug con 5 ?

i 100% agree.
once i was lvl 25inf, i was with a lvl 30 inf, and a 39 inf. we all PA ed a 47 thane, and took him to 5%. his instant(aoe) hit me SO hard nearly kiled me. so it seems PA/BS dont count levels as a factor too. when i started here on my armsmen(first toon). i was shocked how a SB pa'ed me for 440 in plate! soon i learned PA/BS dont adjust for abs. my complaint as mentioned above is Viper. there is NO defense for it! i wish some way i cuold do something. LIKE AOM ( i know dont work). so only thing i know is IP, BUT then you need purge to kill the disease. yet still it dont match the damage of 1 viper. /agree. |
