Hello,

while doing some prep work and trying to get things rolling I actually became abit curious about the general thourght about this subject. Depending on the results, and if its even or landslide, It might be taken into consideration if I chose to host the next event.

If you vote for "other" and have a comment, drop it in this topic. Thanks for your time and vote.

Not really. But unlick the devs on here. I can see if change is needed. The old unofficial rule about no relics seem to be outdated for the population playing right now, and might not match what people wanted back when Bluesunday was introduced, compared to what people want now.

(I still respect the Devs for their work and their vision, I simply just disagree with being too stuborn)

I'm pretty sure you're the only one careing about relics being included or not :d

Whatever the rule is, people are going to complain about it.

Think excluding relics means alienating people who don't read forums, but take part in BG.

"Hibs gave up, lets hit their relic!"
"No, I promised we wouldn't"
"What???"

I understand not taking relics, but I read forums, I think the majority does not, and cares very little for the "rules" people make here.

Yeh there were agreements not to touch relics before and we saw how that went

Leader: "Well I told em we said we wouldn't touch relics"
Zerger: "So?"
Leader "Ok, lolz!111!"

no one cares, planned events are dumb. what made daoc fun is the element of surprise, and u are singlehandedly trying to ruin that with ur xrealming events. however, I understand ur reasoning as it is the only way u can obtain rps since u lack the natural daoc skill set.

As I said, relics off the table, imho is utter nonsense because it's the main purpose of the game!

You can't have superiority in numbers and not think about touching enemy relics!

Leave them on the table, reduces any friction or drama. And keeps things dynamic.

Relics should be fair game at all times. Setting up special 'rules' will just lead to forum drama when the relic keeps get hit, even if the relics aren't taken and even more drama if the relics are taken.

I actually think it will help the realm with lower numbers in BG to activly take part in the event. That way they dont just get zerged over again and again, but can obtain rps while defending their relic or adding in the relicattempt of another realm.

I personally agree with many of the "pro-relics for events" comments. However I just fear that mids will next time roll out with supperior numbers, enemies will see this. And will turtle in relics.

But then again, its not much different from chasing enemies who have ran to other frontiers to pve keeps.
Open field fights seem dead as long as theres this big of a gap between active participation.

Thanks for the votes and comments.
