Old frontiers you wouldn't know you were in the area of effect till seen the gear like animations hitting you or your group. uthgard is currently using the new frontiers animation. But the current implementation the area is quite large, even along the z-axis.

Is this true? I still do not see any indication until the thornweeds do their ticking animation. There is no indicator that shows the outside of the field and I find that to give a strange advantage. Seems broken.

yeah man it is strange, an ra on a 30 minute cooldown that gives you an advantage

Find it unlikely that TWF will get an area of effect like new frontiers ra's. as we are on old frontiers ra's and it didn't have and indicator then.

Assume you want the indicator for open field combat, where it's a bit more situational than say keep sieges. where the area of effect indicator would have little no impact as most of the keep will be in the area of effect if the GT is placed right due to smaller keeps in old frontiers. Or when it's used in lord room pushes after moc is blown.

edit if the gt is centered in say a keep twf will cover the courtyard up to the second level. and open field i swear is a mob every 1k units...

The barb wire graphic ruined TWF imo. It was MUCH better before they put the range graphic in place after this patch.

Thanks to the Uth devs for keeping it classic !!!

Wer ist oder was hat dieser John Bello damit zu tun?

Having the exterior bordered indicator would make it easier to see the quickest way out. In its current state you dont know if youre on the edge or in the middle and theres no certain way to know for sure if youre out unless you dont see the spiraling thorn animation wrap your character. I think the ability is mostly fine but it does give an unfortunate advantage to hibs when defending and capturing keeps as it extends upwards along z axis.
