Hey! First and foremost, I'd like to say that this server has been the best daoc experience I've had in the last 15 years. Thank you to the devs for your hard and continued hard work. It's been a blast!

It's apparent that there's been a significant drop in population during NA time zones. The point of this thread is to encourage active players to reach out to their inactive friends and guildies improve the NA 8v8 and general RvR action. Many of the inactive players I speak to simply don't play because A) the population is too low or B) their group/guild/friends stopped playing. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Let's do something to make NA popping again! Let us, from all realms, collectively improve the population together. Last night, I reached out to several inactive players to inquire if they'd be willing to reform a guild on Albion. The majority were interested in playing again if they had a group to run with. I ask that you please do the same on mid and hib!

With that being said, I will be reforming a guild/group of players to play on Albion. Our core's goal (10ish players so far, yay!) is to have a pool of about 16-20 players to form groups NA time (EU when possible). We will primarily 8v8, but will also 8vX and zerg-bust as the situation calls. Those that have committed, including myself have a number of alts and have all primary roles covered. We just need some more steady, seasoned players to run a balanced comp. Yes, that includes running a wiz or paladin if that's what it takes get RvRing! If you were interested in coming back and playing with a steady group of people, feel free to drop me a PM.

To the mids and hibs reading this: PLEASE reach out to your friends and encourage players to form NA time! Let's make more use the tools we have available (IRC, Discord) to get more people playing and stir up NA RvR action!

Very good initiative, I do how ever thing Alb is doing the best out of the 3 realms for NA time( I could be wrong)

I would think Mid needed a wakeup call the most, Power rangers leaving for alb didnt help the sitution much but they wanted to fight Tilt who then stopped due to no action.

But as you said, if everyone reaches out to oldfriends and several come back, the situation could be turned im sure of it.

Of guildies im still in contact with, every last one quit because the xp grind was too much.

So even if i get them back, they still have a month of grind ahead of them.

most PR are back on mid, and I'm sure will be happy to have something to fight na time. tilt still play now and then, and are nearly always on weekends. gluck

And yet alot have managed to get through it. Ofc it's not the fastest but right now we cant change anything about it.

So tens of thousands of players quit while leveling, my guess, bc xp sucks so bad.

You want us to reach out to players who never hit 50.....to come save NA pop....

By the time those players hit 50, the "other" freeshard will release killing even more NA pop.

Thats assuming people, who wernt willing to spend countless hrs leveling, have a sudden change of heart and are now ready for the months long grind.

Im sorry but if we continue with our current patch level, then we must do with what we got for as long as we got it.

If u want to save the NA pop, start with getting staff members to change that which NA has been asking for in thread after thread since before the server opened its doors.

Honestly, no one expects people to come back and grind to lvl 50, especially when the "other" server is nigh.

But it is worth it to message people who already have PvP ready 50s to try and sir up some action. The thing is, you have to be consistent with this stuff. Like Splitquick and his BG taking keeps all the time. That's why Alb is such a strong force and has relics, because people know they can just log on, take some keeps, and zerg fight a couple times. More and more know about it and are likely to sporadically log on and join in.

If it's a barren wasteland like NA timezone has mostly been the past few months, people just quit logging on. The same happened to solo play after the first 3-6 months. I regularly sit at AMG for 15-30min and see no one, only to be killed by a FG and then just log off. Why would anyone want to log on and do that?

But i digress. OP has good idea. Worth trying until the "other" server comes out.
