Yes. Once the mob begins casting they can finish the cast no matter what.

Live tested/proven.

Finish THE cast, or cast as long as they want ?

Am asking because ... 12 seconds between the LOS and the deadly pet DD.
It's a freaking long cast.

Maybe the pet started the cast, got CCed (stunned, interrupted, w/e), once the CC ended the cast continued. I dont think thats how it should be but it is my best guess on what happened

Actually that too is live tested and was quite difficult to implement...

Soooooooooo, I rewatched this and see what looks like a hit from that same underhill earlier, so it likely might not have been CC. Possibly lagged through a window into view for the pet. If this happens again let us know on the tracker.

Pets will do this type of thing. If someone puts a pet on you and you are still in range of the pet it will keep going after you.

Doors and walls should stop them but once they are a spell it will auto discharge just like a pve mob.

Watch the banshees you can stun or mesmerize them and if it lands mid cast as soon as it breaks it auto cast who ever and at whatever distance you are from them.

So if you have a pet on you and happen to get lag that gives the pet LoS when the pet otherwise wouldnt be able to hit you, youre just screwed? From the video posted it seems pretty lame because the player did nothing wrong and is getting hit by a pet that appears to be out of LoS

I believe there is another bug with pet LOS, tell me if I'm wrong:

1- Owner sees a stealther in proximity and send his -caster- pet on such target
2- Owner then start sprinting away, while pet start his cast (stealther disappear due to the owner movement)
3- Pet should finish his cast and hit this stealther even if the owner can't see it anymore (like if it was a melee pet)

On uthgard, at least from my experience, the point 3 doesn't work.
The pet start casting and finish his cast, but doesn't hit such stealther because it says something like "Your pet can't see the target!" and keeps casting, but for each cast made it just doesn't hit the target and keeps spamming this message about not seeing such target.

Is it correct as the uthgard behavior? Or should be fixed? Why?

I know pets run through doors to get into range to keep casting. Theurgist pets do it, Cabbie pets do it. Guards ignore them.

Where was the pet on the death cast? Was it right behind you? Can't tell from the vid.

Sounds like that bug i think

https://www2.uthgard.net/tracker/issue/ ... s_Intended

And uth is using the 1.88+ mechanic for pets vs stealth in some way it seems

http://camelotherald.wikia.com/wiki/Pat ... rsion_1.88
- Monsters, pets and Non-Player Characters (NPCs) will now halt their pursuit when the character being chased stealths.

http://camelotherald.wikia.com/wiki/Pat ... sion_1.88B
◾ Players may now command their pets to attack stealthed characters who are within their stealth detection range. Pets will still stop the chase if an unstealthed character stealths in order to escape.

By reading that it sounds like even after the 1.88 change pets should be able to attack a stealthed enemy IF the petowner had los to the stealther but once the stealther would REstealth and petowner had no longer any los the pet would lose target tho... or what do they meant to say in that patchnote *shrug*

Nice catch, I didn't see that old (more than 1 year) report!

I've also a video about it, but considering how many people reported it, should be clear already :hammer:
