ns or sb?

whats makes more fun as a long term project?

we all know, that archer-classes are weak. but they can do some nice action if they skill melee.

whats your opinion?

Hunter is a lot stronger melee wise, he has pet and spear. Archery wise ranger should be a bit better but not that much. I'd say hunter.

Sb or NS, SB is a lot stronger on lower RRs, NS start to shine when they get their RAs

NS or SB.

If you want to play melee.

Archers are fine in group stealth play / sniping at range. But I'm severely disappointed in my melee rangers ability to compete. It's all the more disappointing for the amount of time /played to level.

I would highly recommend making the decision now to go with a class that has a chance (assassin).

That said, I'm sure a high RR archer could compete if you have the patience to earn 5-10k RPs an evening by adding / zerging / for months to get there.

If you are committed to an archer... in my honest opinion.. roll a hunter. It's easier to get to Mmg for some action which will be a regular thing and the pet gives you an extra chance to win the interrupt war.

That said if you just want group stealth play. Archers are fine, yeah, go ahead.

Play what you want, you'll get zergued anyway and will have very little chance to see someone solo.

Hunter all the way 100%,
- best meele archer class
- 2h bonnus, and back stun
- Pet => dmg add
- Buffs from beastcraft
- Teleport to emain for fast coming back to action, ranger hav to avoid agros all the way to emain.
- Full Archery is not a option right now (check issues in the main web page)
- Weapon type bonnus, you hav thrush and slash

Yea, I just started a Ranger myself as an alt. It has been a drag grind so far just to get to level 11! Hoping they make some exp changes. Otherwise...

Yup, finding it less and less appealing to log in sadly.

Plus Thidranki has died a death

So nothing to really break up the monotony of lvling either.

They really need to do something sooner rather than later regards xp (and lots of other QoL stuff that is needed).

As for the thread topic, I would say make an assassin :D

1st i started in midgard. sbs are offended by the imba df infis.

so i switched to alb. infis are offended by charge sbs.

so i switched to hib and ns arent complaining about the other.

its the atmosphere that makes the game interesting, not the class ;)

so i will stay in hib^^

NS strongest pure stealther (imho), Hunter strongest Archer.

Play whatever you feel like, but dont expect the Archers to do well on their own.

Hunters are not the stronger archers ..

Rangers have more damage at higher ranks, more defense, better self buffs and an ability to halve dodge chances.
Rangers have the best bow dmg thanks to the self DA spells if they spec for it.
Rangers can lower their weapon spec with each rank , while raising other skills while hunters have to keep raising their 2h line, to achieve a higher damage.
