I am almost 50 on my main and started to think about where I want to go to look for fights.

Back in the golden days, I played on Palomides. It was one of the smaller populations. Almost all of the action was at AMG in emain. AMG AMG AMG all the time.

What are some of the hot spots forming here? Sitting in Svasude, I notice a lot of spam in Odins. Maybe it just feels like that place is popular because that is where I can see the spam.

Is Emain still the RvR hotspot? or is it a little more varied?

Yes and no, there have been alot more people out in emain lately, but odin's and Uppland seem to be the #1 spot by far! So just walk out the front door of Svasud and BAM RvR 100% guaranteed!

haha, yeah. The gankfest is real in uppland. Always a good place to try and stomp some undergeared gray ganker.

If you find it, let me know... All I seem to find are minstrels and various stealthers lately. I'm fairly disappointed that there isn't the diversity of classes out soloing like we saw on Uth 1.0. No Reavers, Friars, Theurgists, Thane's, Valewalkers, Wardens etc etc.

I remember on Uth 1 there was a Pole armsman who would always run around AMG by himself.

I would PA his ass and still get my ****** pushed in every time. I have even lost to him 2v1.

Guy was a machine.

People who really want to solo or smallman (4 or less) should go to Alb. Stay out of Odin and especially Emain. Nobody goes to Emain solo unless they're just looking to add on fights, and that's why you get ran over. Alb is an entire realm you can solo/smallman and nobody will ever zerg you except Reallydirty.

I solo a fair amount out in uppland but yeah don't get shocked if you get ran over.

Soloing in emain is a death warrant. Don't do it.

Alb is a toss up. I've tried soloing out here and I'd say 20% of the time I'll run across someone in hadrian's. The best time to go out to hadrian's is if someone / group is taking keeps and you happen to see the spam.

Emain -> Breif -> Gorge: Most action, 8v8 groups, stealthers at AMG, Small men, DL campers, etc

Odins -> Jammt -> Uppland: Gains traction when people dodge 8v8 in emain, lots of foot traffic from mids going to relic keep/dodens, some nights it is more action than emain.

Hadrians->Pennine->Sauvage: Lots of solos/small man groups, occasional 8 man or two looking for easy rps, lots of people looking to gank lvlers at cyraeths/giants/etc.

I love soloing in Alb, when 90% of my sh*t doesn't randomly get resisted.

I've seen some reavers lately, and there's a mentalist that solos often, but yeah it's almost all stealthers, and of those it's almost all minstrels. I can't stand fighting minstrels. All fights go the same way, either they SoS away or I get zerged by 4-5 of them all at once.

Duos and trios are more diverse, at least. It seems like visibles don't really come out solo, but they'll come out with a friend or two no problem.

Beg to differ. I solo in all three realms regularly as possibly the slowest most visible class in the game. It just depends on the time of day and what's happening with keeps/DF/relics. Do some /who to see what's going on. If there are 4 people in Emain and 12 in Cruachan, that means some groups thought they'd find action there but couldn't so they worked their way down to the border keep and will probably just suicide soon, so it's more or less safe to walk through Emain. You also have to be smart about where you walk, using terrain/structures to your advantage, watching spam, paying attention to where your realmmates' groups are, etc.
