I personally really liked the leveling on Genesis, I'm not in high school anymore and don't have all summer to level a character to 50. Genesis did it right taking into account the majority of the population is 25+ with jobs now.

All summer to get a character to 50? It won't be as fast as Genesis where you could get 50 in one sitting but it won't be as slow as Uthgard 1.0 either. 8)
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt
[3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck
lordgriffon wrote:Oh by the way... ever seen a group of 8 smite clerics? Or play against a group like that? I have. Absolute devastation. The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

Genesis/Origins leveling was way too fast. It is not good for the longevity and long time playability of a server when the levelling part is too short. Of course, Uthgard 1.0 was pretty slow and Uthgard 2.0 is probably going to be faster, but hopefully not as fast as on Origins. This server should last for a couple of years and not just a couple of months.

What gives you guys the impression that leveling on Uth 2.0 will be faster than on Uth 1.0?
The zones remained the same, except Tajendi should've been removed.

I suggest you taking a look at the patch notes up to and including 1.65, since thats what Uth will be as, as close as possible ofc!

You will be able to see what kind of bonuses did exist back then and will most likely also exist on Uthgard 2.0.

Wasn't 1.65 also the desired patch level in Uth 1.0?
