Braemar keep door messages
Please bring them back. Was a great way to know if there was any action. I was standing on a turret for a long time of braemar and didnt realise someone had charmed a critter and had been bashing on the front door for a long time got bored and logged off just as i got to them. I was in there earlier and beat in both keep doors and no one had any idea i was in there. Also if you have the keep and nothing is going on and you head over to the zone sides to xp you have no warning if the keep is being taken till they are already on the lord. He/she will be dead long before you can get back to defend it. |

that info is in game .. but only for guild who owns keep

seems very limited as if a small guild or one who plays peak time only had taken the keep anyone else who would defend it is kept in the dark - ii thought they used to be realmwide message?

try to buff one of the guards- youll get the mesasge if it fades

when i played daoc on live only the guild who claimed the keep got a message if it was under attack, unless it's been changed in NF, that's the way it should be.

After thinking about it makes sense to just inform the guild. Imagine 3 guys are attacking the doors and the whole enemy realm gets the message. Suddenly there are some more enemy players to handle for the 3 poor ones who tried their luck.
But I think it would be ok to inform all player of the realm who are in the RvR zone. |

"sire, you just heard a strange noise, something like breaking doors and howling of victorious enemys.may it be that the keep is under siege?"

On the live Servers, a Guild claims the Keep and only that Guild gets messages. Thats ok.
On Uthgard Keeps dont get claimed. On Uthgard its totaly random who does the last hit on the Lord and the guild of that guy gets the keep. In Braemar it often happens, that said player has no guild or a two man guild who logs off after taking the keep. So you cant compare live and Uthgard. On Live thers also hundreds or thousands of players on at the same time and its much more likely that one player of the claiming guild is online. Most guilds have more members that Uthgard has players on live |

Well thats debatable. I believe a system that forces guilds to actively claim
a keep/tower will possibly pull more players into emain...at least for claiming issues. You just need to give some boni that become active when a keep is claimed and which will become stronger if you upgrade your keep/tower. There are enough guilds to make this system work. What do we have in Emain? 6 towers and 2 keeps, right? Well, a quick view onto herald gives us 19guilds at the bottom and almost each realm has got at least 5 active guilds in that list. So, if you force players to put ressources and time into their keep for the keep to give boni and while upgraded giving higher boni will possibly encourage players to fight for the bonbon in Emain. You will never get it, Sethor.
"forcing" people will not make them do what you like. You see what "forcing" people to - level the hard way to 50 and then - farm an all cap SC and then - find a good group and then - still get owned by high RRs and then - play night and day to also get high RR get you? More people in the low BGs, where they are not "forced" ![]() |

Well.. in my opinion some ppl has right others wrong ofc.
A warning just to the Guild who claims the keep is ok by me yes. But still the system fails here cause some guilds are not active at all and brings no point in claiming it since they arent gonna do nothing. A warning to the ppl who are in that BG would be good yes. Alot of ppl these days prefer to PvE in BG's since they have some bonus. All we got is better that no bonus. So makes sense ppl that are in BG gets warned of danger.. they decide if they go or not. Still I miss the time that I was warned about danger in Braemar. Cant you do something like the command /emain ?? A command /braemar /wilton /thidranki ? Regards! ![]() Muad'Dib

Well, what about the effect of such commands. I'd say it could have the same effect as /emain. People will be checking and decide not to go to their intended BG because too few or too many opponents are there. Without the commands people just have to go and see! Looking at Emain numbers there has been more activity lately than for a couple of weeks. Only by chance?
Happy hunting!

the command /emain is being discussed to be killed, but u want one of this type for the lowbgs? lemme guess.wait..hm..NO.
the keepdoorsys is not really what it should be,even if u get a message "enemy knocks on ur frontdoor" u cant get a grp fast enough to kick back the agressors(ok,most of the time).ive seen grps of 3-4 ppl kicking down both gates and the lord in below 5 minutes.so why even have keepdoors?why does the lord not stand on plain ground, guarded by 2-3 level 5 spriggarns?would be nearly the same. the guilds are not big enough,to get such a system working properly.we get a fg ca together on good days, most ppl are in party etc,so how fast could we react on inc in a bg?10 minutes,15? think about the "one-guild"system again please.its just crap..imho.
