On Origins they do have /rp off
Effect of it is:

/who Leirvik 45+
/who any real rvr zone all together 8-16

these are the numbers of hib this sunday EU prime time

leirvik keep changed like every minute, real keeps like every 30min-1h if it happened

It's always bad when people are allowed to play the way they want.

Anyways, I aired this idea for /rp off so that players could level in the BGs through RvR activity without capping out too quickly:

- /rp off can't be turned on at the same time as /xp off

- /rp off is disabled after 3 XP deaths && level is less than 50

Implementation would be easy since XP deaths are already counted.

Let us have /rp off and /xp off. It's inane to have to suicide to lose XP.

If you absolutely refuse to allow /rp off, consider /xp off since there's really no way to abuse that. It just means there won't be stupid tombstones everywhere because people kept killing themselves.

No reason not to have /exp off, but the /rp off command can never come back. I don't want people in BG's more then they already will.

Uthgard had players in bgs rerolling and rerolling without /rp off. In my opinion /rp off and /xp off are good. Why players who have mains for big rvr cant have some twinks in bgs for fun?

You can remove /xp off and /rp off, but the players who prefer play bgs will reroll again when they will reach rr3.

Faster XP

No, faster xp than that !

More RP reward for keep take at lowest RR

And there should be more RvR activity.
Maybe...

I doubt about it. If ppl dont want to go emain, they wont. THey will just reroll, again and again. ( i did more than 5 skalds to 50 on uthgard just because i loved bgs :p )
2012:<@[Uth]Abydos> If we don't have SI by the end of the year, Im fairly certain I wont be a GM anymore :-p

If the population is good enough you wont have to goto emain only for your rvr needs. On the other server i've had many fights with caemma/dirty tricks, rare and others through out jamtland and odin's. Also groups running around hadrian's. Emain has always been the defacto for groups but its not the only choice unless population is what it was during its last stretch, atleast NA time.

Faster xp + RP limit of 1.62 BG should prevent excessive reroll.

The problem on Uthgard V1 was that there was no end game rvr activity for random player. What is needed, in order to have high population in RvR, is a zerg activity around keep (or not).
The BG lovers don't want a 8v8 or solo competitive activity, they want to be able to log, join a random group asap, and play without trying to compete against well organized and optimized group. And that's not possible in end game if the only RvR activity is 8v8. Uthgard V2 need rvr zerg.

For how long was there a healthy RvR community, two weeks?
DAoC is no casual friendly game and never will be, the casuals will leave RvR after the first hype on any server.
The whole game favours 8vs8 grps, after three month there will be 8vs8 only just like on Uthgard v1 and on Origins.

Uthgard 1.0:

20% in Old-Frotiers
80% in New-Frontiers (Battlegrounds)

Genesis:

20% in Old-Frontiers
80% in New-Frontiers (Battlegrounds)

Conclusion: It is all about the Patchlevel!

NF dramatically increased the casual friendlyness.
OF is a Setgrp sandbox, nothing else.

DAOC can be casual friendly. Whether endgame RvR can be in Uthgard remains to be seen. As a casual player I would like to be able to have a BG char for when there is nothing to do on my main but this is not my game/creation however much time I invest in it.
So I will take what I am given and hope the population becomes and stays healthy.
