I do hate reavers and dislike most people that play them, but Skarz has the skill, that's for sure. He pretty much killed everything on rr4-5 with semi-group spec as well. Skarz is a very good player. You combine that with a powerful class and a high RR and you have a VERY tough player to fight. BTW, I would like it noted that 1.5 sec hard cap is also broke on mele. I have it from a very good source that Chikane was aware of this and was getting levi's off at 1.1-1.2 speed a swing. He would still be tough as hell w/out this, but with this it makes it very hard. 1 slam and you are not coming out alive if your purge is down.

What testing has shown melee on uthgard going sub 1.5? There was a test showing rapid fire from archers being able to do this, but it was stated to be live like. I have tried breaking 1.5 with my savage using 250 quick, 39% self haste, and 31% celerity, something reavers can only dream of and I saw no breaking of the 1.5 hard cap. I remain skeptical. |

Count swings from slam. He does 5-6(hard to see if they realize their slam is over or not on such a small sample) swings. thats exactly 9 seconds, with 1.5 sec a swing. 250 qui 19% haste 3.0 speed is 1.5066 swing. with 18 starting qui on saracen, quickness5, 75/75 in temp, 75 d/q charge, you got 276 quickness. He uses haste charge most of the time, thats only 17% haste. Haste has a higher modifier then quickness. So even if he was maxed out on qui, he still would swing slower with 276 qui 17% haste then 19% haste and 250 qui. So no, terrible conspiracy theories about it. yeah Skarz is a good player but in general i don't think people are impressed to see a reaver doing well solo/grouped, bit off topic but it is a shame to see some classes half implemented and more or less unused in rvr. I'm far more impressed with Bonex, guy does really well for only having 1 pet and is the only BD i see out regularly. if they ever decided to fix the BD people would quickly forget how op rangers, reavers and theurgs are.

Lets just say that I had a buddy who made a reaver on Albion and was told by Skarz that yes, he was able to get his swing speed down to 1.1-1.2 sec a swing by using aug quickness 3 or 4. He was then told to keep quiet about it since god forbid it be fixxed.
I will be glad to do a test on this, but I will do it on my time since nobody else wants to test it. BTW, I was the one who did the rapid fire test and the reason was because of levi's under 1.5 seconds. |
