Hi everybody,
I'm an old daoc player and thought I'd give Uthgard a go. I've read a fair bit, got the game running and am prepped for yellow mobs to hit like trucks! When I finally make 50, I want to RvR a lot. However, i'm not coming with an Rvr guild or anything. Is there any one realm that is short of players, or has RvR groups/guilds that would be open to taking trials? Where am I going to find it easiest to get a decent group? Basically I can play a cabalist, theurgist or reaver well on alb. I can play a bard or ani well on hib. I can play a shammy or savage/zerk well on mid. With this in mind, what classes are predominantly needed in RvR for each realm? Can anybody help? What would be lovely if some RvR guild person came here and said "we need this class for rvr, come join us, we're great and if you're lucky we might even help you with xp". However, things don't usually happen like that! Any help/offers appreciated! Cheers, Tilda |

Population on realms is changing like spring, summer, autumn and winter during year. PPl migrate from realm to realm (mostly relic hoppers
![]() On Hib there is allways not enough good bards, animist performs very well in RvR,but is IMO little underrated. On alb, there is quite lot of reavers and theurgs, but RvR lacks cabalists I think. Nor sure about Mid (I dont play there, there is too cold for me ![]() MY last advice is,play what realm you choose and class what you like to play. ![]() Welcome to Uthgard edit: check herald---> statistic hewre on Uth webside to see avg population and rps distribution between realms |

There is always a need for good bards on hib. At least as far back as I can remember. Dont know about the other realms

That was what I heard but when I made one saw that there are lots of bards lfg out. It keeps changing all the time, if some classes are missing ppl starts playing them and it finds its balance. Atm there is a paladin problem in alb, but there were lots of paladins spamming for group a few weeks ago. You can see that lots of ppl making paladins again because it seems an easy class to find group but sure it will change before they ding 50 lol. Even if you said that you want to rvr a lot, if that will be your first toon make sure it's a raid class also. Or you will stuck in dia groups for some time to get your final temp. In your class list cabalist is not a 'must have' class. Both for pvm/rvr reaver and theu are good choices imo. Theu is easier to find rvr groups because there are already lots of high rr and well-known reavers out there hard to compete. Animist is underestimated for rvr but always needed for raids. Bard is good for both but you need a reputation first to be invited most of the time. Skip svg, both zerk and shaman are good choises. |

Albion is currently the best realm to build pug grps.

I'd have thought cabby with NS would be wanted a fair bit in RvR? or have people got over their NS-cure problems?
Is the general thought Alb- theurg, Hib- Ani, Mid- Shammy? |

Animist isn't really taken in RvR these days unless someone decides to run a full on caster group.
![]() [3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt [3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck

If you go Mid you really cant go wrong with shama or even better zerker. There are 2+ Zerkers in most of the grps. And you`ll always need 1-2 in every PVE Grp too.

pick what u want, but pick a reaver
![]() |

cabby with ALL, u are talking about the highest utility class in alb (and maybe all the game) usually specced in all 3 lines to give u an insane amount of tools, disease, ns, debuff. . .and many more, check a spec like 34 body, 33 spirit, 25 matter (afaik usual trispec cabby) It's the thrill of the chase
and I'm coming after you. |

May be, eldy is also very high utility class with simillar spells to caba. Trispec cabba is not easy to play. You have too much buttons to use ![]() |
|
but u are never bored ![]() and u cant cry saying u dont have the right tool for a situation ![]() It's the thrill of the chase
and I'm coming after you. |
