People still ask other players not to add
What I witnessed at the Albion Mile Gate wall in Emain
2 Celts hopping about
2 Britons hopping about
1 stealthed Midgard standing about
The celts and and the britons were not fighting.
Waiting until the one celt was by herself (I used herald to determine the RR much higher than me) I still waited until the other Midgardian was engaged. As soon as I added, the celt rushed me, dispatched me and then allowed for the Midgardian to recover and restealth. I was then accused of ADDING and disrupting a fight and that ultimately it was my fault that the (accusing) Midgardian lost the fight.

Regardless of the no add policy (There I said the title!) there is not only a no add policy in place but there are a lot of NO ADD RULES and ediqute that are also required to be assumed.
The only no add policy I have ever practiced is if I see a realm mate already engaged in a 1v1 fight. I will respect that and allow the fight to continue unmolested. If my realm mate loses, I will finish the fight for him so that no RPs are lost for him. And even still in this situation, I often feel guilty. Mostly I don't add in these situations so that the enemy doesn't feel ganked and feels like he/she got some respect....

This isn't the case on Uthgard. I don't believe it will ever be the case. I find this most unfortanate.

The people who run this server have a much better vision of what DAOC should be and should have been. They have worked hard to keep that experience alive and I think have beyond a doubt, successfully done so. When I left DAOC (live) it was in disgust and dissappointment. The people of Uthgard have allowed for a second chance and I can't thank them enough either through words or through fisical means (though I am sure a lot more fisical means would be quite a lot more appreciated.) It is unfortanate that I feel motivated to leave DAOC once again.

If the population of Uthgard were to place the regularly logged in people at around 700-1,800 people from low to peak, I must admist that I would never feel motivated to seek out a new MMORPG to play. However, the population of Uthgard is in decline. Easy to say that some of it is due to the changes that the evil, saddistic, ever-and-always-power-mongers-that-rule-the-game-with-a-great-iron-fist-of-destroying-the-game-player-fun, have caused this downfall. That is irrelevant and moot but what is relevant and is a cause for further player population decline is the player elitists that exist right now.

Now, I know many may read half this and claim "What a dweeb and good ridance to him! Can't take a beat down from a higher RR player!"
Let me assure you that I can take a beat down from a higher RR player. In fact, I can even enjoy a beat down from a higher RR player. But I don't enjoy someone telling me their beat down is my fault because I added to their fight.
Guild Wars 2 is coming out and launching this month. It is by no means as good as Uthgard DAOC. However, it is the preferable game at this junction due to all of the above stated.

Pretty much. Being able to mingle with your enemies allows people to build friendships. Way back in teh' day there used to really only be VN boards to communicate to yer enemies as one could not simply log the enemy realm on the same server without purchasing another account.

I see this frequently, so frequently infact that I've given up PUGing unless there is a zerg event.
There are certain long time players and premade/elite groups (who I won't name) that are in a special club that conspire against anyone who interfere with their play style.
I've seen high RR groups actually disengage, wipe out adds, back off to heal and rebuff then resume their fight once at full strength, I've seen countless duels at AMG in emain where adding will cause both enemies to attack you first rather than continuing their fight,
I've seen fights where an additional enemy group will arrive at the scene of a battle, avoid adding onto the fight and instead pick off a 2-man that added to current battle then mill around until the battle ends before fighting the victor of the battle.
Funny thing is, these same people show absolutely no respect for those who aren't in the special club and will gladly run over them solo or otherwise.

at least you could report the player who told you it's your fault and you should not add.

I don't think so, same rules apply to all groups, unless they add first. I think lot of these "elite" players played daoc too long to scream "for realm" and kill everything, they simply want to enjoy one of the best pvp combat systems to date and have nice fights. Any fight where either side has huge advantage is usually not fun. And by this rule they don't necesarilly mind when PUGs group up to 16 people, if they are able to drop some before they die or even kill them I think it's a win-win situaton.

It would be easy to name Arnoogai but that I am not sure would be appropriate.

The end result is (-1) to the population. Doesn't really matter, I know. Nobody cares, I know. But instead of the population reading 438 when you log in, it will say 437. I am sure that over time it has become and will become (-35, -120) I know it is at (-200-300) now because in 2010, peak populations was 940-950. Very much a shame when you think about it. I truely think that the propblem with the population is the population itself, not the tweaks that the GM's do.
Guild Leader: "Oh, my! OmFG! Can you believe that they took the realm speed down from 10 minutes to 4 minutes?"
Guild Member: "WTF? Are you serious?"
Guild Leader: "I'm like totally serious, dude. Check it out yourself."
Minutes pass as Guild Leader /b GM's suck, GM's don't know what they're doing. GM's are ruining this game!
Guild Member: "OMFG, you're right. I quit!"
Guild Leader: "I was hoping you'd say that. That's what I wanted to do but didn't know if it was the right thing to do."
Guild Member: "Yeah, totally it is. Dang, just when we got out of Thid and were about to have total, epic, titanic, multi-awsome fun in Emain!"
Guild Leader "Totally. Especaially now that my skald would take so much longer to get out to the AMG."
Guild Member: "Totally, I'm gonna go roll a character on Maple Story!"
Guild Leader: "Me, too."

Yeah, that's what is happening everyday (for those of you that might need a poke in the eye, THIS IS SARCASIM).
It certainly isn't "Don't add. You added and looked what happened. Mind your own buisness."
It can't be "Wow, look at the Albions and Hibernians not fighting each other. I will unstealth and see if it is a peace...OMFG! OH, WTF /send Why did they do that?"
REPSONSE : "/send Cause you suck."

Here is a thought for all you people who play by your rules and not the rule that IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE WAR ON OPPOSING REALMS, and especailly for you who have and will reply to this message in some fancy, creative, over-the-top way of /CRY SOME MORE!

I truely hope that you have intimate and heartfelt fun with your local zoo's monkey. Several are running around on the loose, having had escaped in Las Vegas. Go there and lure them with your long (or as it most likely is,) or short worm.

Good night, good-bye and hope you have a pleasant tomorrow.
I am off to GW2. It won't be as good. It won't be as fun. But it will be honest by and by.

"The way (please insert a whiny-tinny voice) I wanna play is the way I wanna play and shame on anyone that tells me differently!"

Ignore this?
"stop to add!" / "don't add!"
"stop building stupid zergs!"
Calling names or bullying someone who attempts to build RvR action like organizing relic raids or battlegroups
Logging to another realm after being killed and sending the attacker comments in any form!

Blaming someone for their play style in RvR (if its conform to rules and not exploiting) can be a bannable offense too especially combined with bullying attempts or insults.

If you experience something like that to you in /say, /yell, /send, /broad, /trade or /lfg make screenshots and /callgm. Guild and group channels are excluded for now as we think players can organize themself in it. It's sad that we have to go this step and waste time with this but that behaviour is poisoning the RvR community badly.

No problem and I will go eat some toast that's been crack cooked.

If that is what you want, by all means, have at the big S-sandwich that is surely dripping with lots of brown "gravy"
