Since the Uthgard server has been down for a few days now I have been playing on Purga.

So far, I have found the following:

community standard - Uthgard > Purga
RvR - Uthgard > Purga
friendliness - Uthgard > Purga
grouping - Uthgard > Purga
BG's - Uthgard has braemar and wilton... Purga doesnt

I hope this server comes back up, despite the accelerated xp and dmg on Purga, Uthgard is superior.

purga is instant server dont need bg , i think if uthgard wwouldnt have bg's much more players would left server until they even go for rvr cause it takes so long .. i would be one of them .. spending 1-2 moths of playing without rvr would be much too long

Uth better in rvr?purga is non stop action while here i have 50er and sometimes dont even log it for few days cause it makes no sense ... just i would stay at tk and bore to death ...

The rvr on Purga is just random. Very few well connected groups (you need to know the people from somewhere else otherwise you will be stuck with your starting guild) and lots of random runners.

On Uth the rvr is in my opinion nicer because you know with and against who you are fighting.

most players @ purga are there because they are lazy.... and wanna rule with their fullbuffed and 2hours /played level 50 chars(without cl ). purga isnt an classic server too... therefore I play on uthgard. the uthgard community is not really comparable with purga ego players!

I sometimes play Purga but when I play then only with friends from Uthgard or other ppl I know. Because on Purga I think the community is very bad

I'm agree comunity and sistem is really better on Uthgard, we only need more people in active RvR. Perhaps a smaller RvR zone could help to compact the activity, 2 keeps instead of 3?? don't know.

u have to look, on uthgard u began at lvl ~15 to play with others then with maybe 20 u get a guild or maybe later ... normaly this take some time like 2-3 days.

if u play 2-3 days on purga u will meet some nice people too, but not because u lvled together!

u will meet them because u made rvr together.


so i think purga is a realy nice server many things in rvr system on uthgard was just made by Etaew (Purga admin) so Uthgard and Purga are working together.

The thing is that Purga is a RvR(nearly) only and Uthgard is a lvl and RvR server.

That`s the reason for more implemented RvR Skills like theurg pets bd pets ect.

so if u only want to make rvr Purga is the better server (my opinion) but RvR-Only ... i want to farm some fat mobs too .. not only hibs

From my notices on purga : i play a minstrel if i even try mezz i imiedatly got a few enemies on me ..while bards are doing whatever they want nearly no one try to kill them first ;s

Purga Sucks, its only good if your too lazy to actually take the time to raise a character. i mean come on free lvl 30? and exp that makes you 50 in like 15 mins? not worth it, a true player make his character with pride from 1-50.

imho i think purga is the better server ... uah now i said sth and get banned

cause rvr is very ... strange on Uthgard... only Zerg vs. Zerg and only the grp with supporter getting chances to win.

Atm the mid have the most supporters albion have no active supporter and cant lvl them, cause of "zieh-schutz" or sth like this. So the clerics need to lvl, but uthgard is the server with the most new player and they go to Albion and make a paladin , cause they want to be glory Knight .. that`s ok but not good for the rvr ect. cause no one plays cleric ...

Thats the different between Uthgard and Purga u can get a need class fast to lvl 50 on Purga and on Uthgard u need month`s.

And the most lvl 50 guys dont want to lvl a second char to lvl 50 on Uthgard cause no lvl grps ect. no way to push them. Then they go to another server --> Purga because there they can lvl the needed classes fast.

So if there`s no way to lvl faster there won`t be better RvR.
---> More Guys will leave Uthgard and play on another Server --> Purga because most player there.

Spirizzite i dont agree with u , daoc is rvr game and almost all of fun is rvr, on purga there is instant rvr and very fun , while here ...I worked hard and got my 50er ...and what?? i almost dont log him cause no rvr .... getting another twink without bonus is so damn slow and not fun ...

if you really think purga is better go on purga...

if you are still here, it must be cause you think the community and the work put in your level 50 char is better
