Hey guys!

I finally finished my second video (25.08.2010). It contains Clips of Merc, Cleri, Pala, and Sorc point of view, all played by myself. Its again made with Windows Movie Maker so the quality is not the very best. Its the same quality like my first vid. I recommend you to not watch it in fullscreen mode.

- Lengh 37:03 minutes
- Size: 532 MB

It contains an intro about 2 minutes long and an outro about 1 and a half minutes long. The rest is pure 8v8.

As i only have space of 200GB on my computer, and 1 minute of frapsing(recording) takes more than 1 GB, i sadly couldnt record a big pool of videos and choose the best ones. I still hope those fights that are in are entertaining enough, even though there were tons of better ones during that long time, which i couldnt record.

Now just one last thing to say. Pump up your volume and lean back!

PS: @Vomii: would be nice if you could add this video to the video thread. Thanks

Editing: 6/10
Compared to Straykat`s HoA Videos there is a huge difference, but its a Solid work!

Music: 9/10
All over great choices, no 0815 Tracks, fits perfect! Great Ambience!

Fights: 7/10
A few more closer fights, or maybe a close loose would pep it up a lot! Even if your Enemys wasnt Pugs all over the time, the fights were pretty predictable. Missed the "woah" effect.

Gameplay: 9/10
I would say all Players got the maximum out of their Chars, the Teamplay was pretty awesome. Only thing ive missed was AOE Debuffs by Sorc and a few more Chant-Dance by Paladin.

Overall: 8/10
This Video is worth it! Keep up the good work!

Like I said some weeks ago, nice vid, you managed to keep a nice variance in music and I liked most tracks.
As I don't think you're after gameplay criticism I'll refrain. Like Arzt said, fights were a bit predictable.

what you mean with "im not after gameplay criticisms?" if theres something to criticize which i dont know of myself already im always good with that really :) but for sure i will give my opinion if i have a different view (just have in mind that for the player itself the fight you only see is way more touchable) like if i do somethings less it might be because there wasnt actually need, the point arzt mentioned with to less ae debuffing on sorc is valid though...for my excuse, switching lots of classes makes me forget some things sometimes of which i know they are there and good to use still :D

but please dont hesitate to criticize me ^^

Make the next vid at like 130% speed, uthgard rvr at normal speed is so boring I can literally feel my life wasting away watching people cast spells or playing tanks with nothing to do except using the same 2-3 styles over and over.

Your 8vs8 knowledge must be sadly bad, otherwise you would see more on those kind of vids... positioning, rupt, kite, teamplay, etc etc

If there would be nothing more then 2-3 styles, why do some groups pwn and some not? Is there maybe more then 2-3styles? Call the Mythbusters!

Not much to notice really, all one sided fights where his positioning doesn't matter much to begin with, interrupting doesn't exist on uthgard unless you're a tank and stuck to just one person (hit and run rupting doesn't work on uthgard like it does on live, no mls, no cls) hence offtank is boring, kiting is simply non existent in that video. Teamplay, well other than 8 people being in the same team and fighting the same people I can't say there's any extraordinary teamplay there.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying he's playing bad or anything, it just doesn't matter how good you do play it just doesn't show on uthgard because of how simplified it is. Hence, it's boring. Compared to real daoc anyway. Needs fast forwarding :P

wonder what our theurgs do if only tanks are able to rupt on uthgard or what amnesia shears lowlvl ns pets etc. etc are good for..man train your live mates to not only rupt with MLs and CLs, there could be more in your quickbar :D and jeah tanks do only rupt if they are stuck to one enemy Oo ..maybe you should review the video again and find out how tanks really rupt or actually play uthgard rvr for more than an hour, feel free to bring your live mates over here (not like there is a difference in live or uthgard players in 90% of the cases since most come from live anyway :)

yes, theres less buttons to click but a game where u are fighting opponents is only simple if your opponents are weak, and even if uthgard has some possibilitys less, theres still hundreds or thousands of 8v8 scenarios, which always needs a different kind of reaction.

back to the movie ;)

Eh didn't expect someone who started daoc on uthgard and never really played live to understand what I'm talking about. Maybe you should play live or at least watch a vid and review how tanks really rupt. Been playing uthgard long enough to know what I'm talking about and to know the difference between uthgard and daoc live (now and 2003).

Enough about that anyway, it was just my suggestion to speed up the video because it's too long and monotonous.
