I think one of the biggest issues with OF zones, is that everyone is tempted to go to Emain, since two realms can port, while hib has to ride, then run to emain, and when you enter emain , its layed out so that AMG is the primary hot spot, unlike the other two, which there is equal distance to both gates. But because of that, no one really sees the need to go to Hadrian or Odin for RvR, as Emain is the most predictable RvR. I've seen a few discussions about how to get people to go to these other zones, like BP rewards and so on. But most of them has its flaws as it would cause people to choose the zone with bonuses and stick to it. So i thought, why not add a shifting bonus, ether a bonus to RPs or BP, that would change based on who has the most keeps taken, basicly based on who owns DF. Here is my idea, just a basic idea.

20% RP bonus or BP bonus to ether Emain, Odin, Or hadrian, based on who owns the most keeps/DF. So if albs own the most keeps/DF, then this bonus would only be active in Hadrians Wall, which hopefuly will encourage the RvR to shift to that zone. Then if someone else gets more keeps/own df, then it would shift to there realms RvR Zone. Hopefuly keeps will not be taken every few min lol.

The reason i think this is importent is to keep action in all three zones. It would make unique layouts and envirments, having the action in each zones. And making it fair for realms to have the oppertonity to port to RvR and sometimes have to run to it for a farther away zone. Also if there is grps that are too lazy to go to another zone, it may encourage soloers to go to the bonus zone.

This is just an idea i had, but i would like something to change OF RvR a little. I find it boring to know that most of the RvR will always take place in Emain, 80% of which is at AMG.

Any thoughts ? Maybe some changes to my idea that you think would make it better ?

And what would prevent say hib (who knew) to forever have emain as a bonus zone because noone wants to bother taking it and just getting it zerged back like it is now with all 6 relics?

Well, how often does DF change hands ? Plus this bonus will affect everyone, regardless of which zone it is in. Its purpose is to temp people to fallow it and keep the RVR in more then one zone. If hibs have DF/most keeps, then the bonus will be in emain and anyone who rvr's in emain at that time, hib alb or mid will get what ever bonus. Then lets say mids want to open DF, then it will move to odin and if you want that bonus, you will have to move to odin for it.

I dont think DF will change hands so often to make this an issue, but will keep rvr in more then just emain. But it doesnt mean you have to fallow the bonus, as sometimes grps may not want to, which allows soloers to quickly fallow it , to find soloers, till the grps move there as well.

What i believe this would help for RvR is.

Emain AMG Alb Solo Issue
- Currently i think it is difficult for any alb soloer to pass through AMG in emain, as it is the primary Hot spot. While MMG is farther away and camped less, so a little easyer for mids to pass by, and hibs dont have to pass by a gate. If RvR Zones shifted, then all realms would have to face going through a gate or not having too.

Porting To RvR/Running To RvR
- While Albs and Mids only need to buy a necklace and go afk till port, Hibs are forced to take a horse to Brifine, then run to Emain, all while facing the dangers of enemys camping at any part of this trip to join rvr. This also allows 2 realms to ambush Hibs who are less likely to expect it coming. If the RvR shifted, everyone would have a chance to port and run to RvR and face ambushes or be the one who ambushes.

Keep Sieging
- While emain is normaly the only RvR zone, it allows grps to port to Odin or Hadrian to siege keeps, with little chance there will be enemys roaming by. If the RvR Zone shifted, then each realm would have the chance to do this.

XPing Safe
- Currently as a hib, i can go to Odin or Hadrian and expect there not be no or few enemys to deal with, while im behind an enemys gate, gaining high XP, while the other realms only have one zone, since Emain is very dangerus to go XP in. If RvR zones changed hangs now and then, then every realm would have the same oppertonitys, and since these zones are going to be more active, it will make xping there actualy dangerous, which could mean higher xp bonus behind enemy gates. Heck, you could even add an additional XP bonus for xping in the zone that has the RvR bonus, as it would be even more dangerous.

Realm Gates
- Since emain is the primary zone currently, hibs have the benifit to camp a gate and fire on enemys that come to the gate, while the ramps to get up top is on hibs side always. But if my idea was used, other realms would get this oppertonity too.

Going Out Solo
- Currently we all know you will find action in emain, but as a soloer , you know youl find a grp to kill you also. So being a stealther is the most ideal choice currently, as being visable is dangerous. Now you could go to odin or hadrian, but you can sit out there all day and not see anyone. If the rvr zone shifted, then Soloers could move to other zones, when the bonus moves, since grps will most likely wait till they all die, to fallow, giving a window for soloers to find other soloers. And even if they dont fallow the bonus, there would be a better chance to find solos , since there is actualy RvR going around in all three zones.

Realm Pride
- I play hib, i defend my frontier, i almost never get to fight on there lands. Not a big deal, but maybe some would like to defend there lands too lol.

Envirement to RvR in
- Each frontier has some things diffrent about it. But since almost all action is in emain, some may start to get bored of seeing the same things all the time. If the zone moved to odin and or hadrian now and then, youd get to see diffrent sights, diffrent battle fiends and so on.

Ohh man, did you even read the staff's announcement?

Just wait till those things change and then evaluate the situation again. What you're doing now is pretty pointless imo.

I find it interesting, easy to put in place, probably with low fllaw consequences, and efficient.

Of course, let's staff put in place their thought and brainstorm as they are really aware of RvR challenges. But IMO an idea to keep in mind in case of what they plan should not be enough

Of what i read in the revamp, im not sure would actualy get people to go to the other zones. For XPers, but not RvR. Maybe those who want to hunt XPers, but this idea is to get RvR to move around.

There will be those who are out to hunt XPers, there will be those who hunt those people. Odin's and Hadrian will become the hotspots for those players.

Emain's entrance most likely will be similar, though a little less since main RvR is concentrated in Emain itself, leading to deadly traffic to smaller grps. The usual FG+ based RvR will usually remain there.
What might happen is that more and more lower level or RR players group up in larger numbers to stand a chance or even more than that. The more this happens, the more chances of the actual 8mans to start finding other places to roam when Emain get's too packed.

That is when different zones will (naturally) be used by bigger groups aswell.

The scenario described above is what I see as the only need to shift RvR. The best thing to do in my opinion is to leave RvR and where the people hunt to the players to themselves, without too much artificial interferance to where one might roam.

That is of course considering you have a sufficient amount of RvR activity, which is hopefully on its way.

I still dont think much RvR action is going to take place, just for those who want to hunt low levels. As the zones are really big and take alot of time. And if this happens to much, xpers will not go to OF then. The issue is that main RvR is stuck in emain, and the revamp most likely isnt going to change that. A few players that skip OF to hunt xpers in DF, may go to OF for the same reasons, but those who are out to RvR, will find more RPs over time in emain. I can though understand why some may preferr to keep RvR in emain. Hopefuly the staff will consider all realms and fairness and well keeping RvR Fun and Unique, not just a blurr of the same thing over and over.

And as i said this is an idea, doesnt have to be implemented, and could be used as a starting idea to what ever they may think up. If the xper revamp doesnt change things in the sense of RvR, then maybe this idea would be considered. If you have no idea's to contribute and want to depend on this revamp, then i hope it will work out for you, but as i dont believe it will, i thought id start a discussion of an idea i had. Basicly its for the staff, in case things dont work out like they may think.

And please keep the trolling to a limit, as this is an idea, not a demand.

I like the ideas :)

I also think hunting XPers is not going to change much, that is more or less a "niche" (to avoid worse expressions ^^)

RP/BP bonus would be one solution, another would be dynamically adjusting port times. Lets say 3-5min to the "days favourite' zone, 10+ min to the other two.

There is absolutely no point in doing this. If players want to play in a different zone, let them. If they don't, don't force them to.

If they GET forced there by the fact that other players are not allowing them to play the way they want to, then that's how it is.

All this change would do is unnecessarily change the RvR zone without actually making it better or drawing more people in RvR in any way. There is absolutely no reason to do this besides for the fact that you 'don't like that Emain is the main RvR zone'.

If you don't like it, don't go there, simple as that. But therefore coming up with artificial ways to force RvR in one way or another is simply ridiculous and useless.

Well to me, the absence of players in other zones is a greater "force" to go to Emain than some RP bonus (or port time difference) would be a "force" to go to such a zone instead of Emain. Think about it.
People now are not much caring about RP bonus (did you know that with all relics and keeps it is around 35%?).

So it would not be a "force" in any way, rather a motivation or "little bonus" for going to other places where you cannot max out RP/hour like in Emain. If this would help get some variety to RvR, it would be more fun for the majority of the server. The ones who insist on running to Emain can still do so, and loose nothing.

A small rvr bonus that moves around, will not make you change zones. But if you want to, so you can have the bonus, when it moves is up to you. Like you said, you can change zones if you want. At least my idea, gives a reason for others to. Leaving it as is, just results in going to other zones and finding no one, or one enemy after a few hours or low lvl xpers. The idea is to temp some to fallow the bonus, so there is ( RVR ) players in other zones.
