Hello,

I'd like to know the differences between archers when it comes to bows only (I don't care about melee). From what I remember of live, scout had best range and hunter had shortest range, but I'm not sure about damage? And do any class have special RA other archers don't have?

Don't know about here but live Scouts USED to have slightly longer range, Hunters slightly less and Rangers in the middle. As far as DPS they were equal other than Scouts generally specced higher in bow because they only had 4 lines to spec into and their melee wasn't that great compared to Hunters or melee specced Rangers. IIRC Albion also had the slowest bow available though it was made obsolete later on.

I'M not sure, how it works on Uthgard, but Scouts were used to have the longest Range (2200 loc), but Hunter and Ranger comes very close to that (2000 loc). The 200 loc difference is about a horse lenght.

Ranger bow damage should be the highest, because of self dex/qui buff and damage add. Hunter bow damage should be second, because of self dex/qui buff. Scout bow damage should be the lowest, at least the scout is unbuffed.

I wonder if Damage Add works on Arrows/Bows too.

Weird. When i grouped my Runemaster (darkness) with some Hunter. They said they don't get the damage bonus. Thought, it does not work on Bows.

Never played a classic Archer :lol:

Another question, if old RAs are implemented, archers will be food for SBs/NFs/infis right? I'm a bit worried about that.

in OF archers were more reliant upon timered abilities to beat assassins. But archers also won't have to worry about passive viper, and scouts should see less slams being purged.

You should be worried. But not only about that.
If OF RAs come that is.

I noticed that with my paladin I don't block much arrows (2 out of 3 maybe if I'm lucky) facing an archer of my level.

On live it was 99% or so.

You shouldn't ;) Back then, in classic times, Quivna (lurikeen ranger) made some solo movies, where he/she performed very well against assassins.

I remember those clips. They were awesome! :D

But didn't some archer gimp patch come after that?

Back then rangers were almost as tough as now on uth...
