This is not a "Is it morally right/wrong to grey gank" thread. I am simply asking what YOU think about it.

Personally Ive seen a couple of mids running through df and leave the greys alone. This is the same frame of mind I was unless they attacked me on live.

Most of the time, however, these no talent 8mans come storming through for their 1 rp for killing greys. Are these groups so bad that they need to kill greys in DF for 1-10 rps max?

Anyway, what are your thoughts? Just curious as to the general concensus on this server about it, and maybe my experiences are isolated.

it's a risk associated with df and frontier that all of us face when were low levels. so i don't see anything wrong with it. gives these zones a element of danger for the high xp rewards and mob drops.

There we go again, the next greykillertopic.

Just to clarify some things:

1.) Killing a grey enemy does not give you anything. No RP, not even a "kill" in the statistics. You do not get 1-10 RP's, you get nothing.

2.) As soon as this topic gets out of hand it will be closed (in my experience that will be very soon ;-)).

I love it when Mids or Hibs are greyganking the Albs in DF. It's annoying to have like 100 Albs in DF leveling so slow that you are almost going backwards while there are PLENTY of wonderful spots in Ablion to level with a halfways decent group.

So, please gank them more and keep DF closed for Albion for a long time ... would help that Realm A LOT! Sometimes I think that most Albs only know Camelot Hills, Salisbury, DF DF DF, Dartmoor. Sometimes a few maybe did not find the entrance to Dartmoor and ended up in Lyonesse by accident.

/signed

personally I only get mad by greykillings when they cause xp death (like FG lowbies killing high purples and a 50 kills the only healers and leave the rest of the grp to xp death)

other than that I don't mind it (don't do it myself though unless the grey attacks me - and usually first after a few /no /slit has been done to them)

if it did work like that on live consider it a anti-grey-kill mechanism :P

personally id rather keep it as it is now on uth - people still greykill, no need to give a reason to do it more :P

Grey killing is a part of the RvR experience and thus a part of the game. Period.

Me, personally, i find it neither bad nor good. I have done it eventually, out ouf a personal momentary mood or situation, but neither excessively nor did i plan for it beforehand. Always worked fine for me.

Cowardice is the mother of cruelty.

Sums it up for me. When I rarely go to mid or hib side in DF I never kill greys, seems pointless and cruel to me to ruin someone else's fun for no reason at all. I get a lot more fun from killing oponents that can fight back with a good chance to win.

HAHA @ the lost Albs :D

But to be in topic NSS dont dolerate grey killing. incase they attack first.
But ofcurse there is few more exeptions, like in DF they give out your location for sure, so if you kill them you will have better change to survive and earn more RPs ;)

But we do everithing to not kill greys, as its frutstrating to them and as we try to get the fun out of the game, then we should let others do it also.

PS! See you on the battlefield /wink

Kill greys sux but df is rvr area, then all must be ready for die. As other said is onlt waste of time, dont give you rps, enemies kills... If you are stealther only discover your position in df.

I was duoing on my savage with a 45 shaman in DF. A fairly high RR melee ranger popped on the shaman and nearly killed him before I got the ranger down. A grey ran in and managed to kill the shammy.

after that, any greys I saw were dead, because we were not going to risk that happening again.

like everyone has said, its an RVR zone, and although I will generally not attack greys when I see them, if any 1 grey ever attacks my group, basically all greys I see for the rest of the day are dead.

Personaly, i don't kill greys in df.

Exeption : Much of them wait your are in fight and at low hp for zerg you, then i defend me and if alive when they die, i remember them and grey kill them an other day when see them.

Exeption : Sometimes i kill greys for free when an ennemy realm kill greys on my realm's side, that's a revenge :>

But : in fact, i generaly don't kill greys cause : i just log and other character less than lvl 50 then try pass ennemy side for kill people who are greys for 50 ( 35-) but green+ for a smaller lvl.
==> So if u want kill greys just remember the members of Your realm who could like to kill them and earn something.

( Sorry for my english ).
