I am new here and curious which realm needs people the most. Or is it pretty balanced here? I have always had a knack for joining the underdogs. any information would be helpfull.

it switches every few month so every realm gets to be the underdog now and then

afaik its pretty balanced atm so just join the realm you prefer playing.

You have to differ this issue. If underdog is: not having any relics, hardly trying to get some, not planing any realm-wide tasks very often (like keep raids or dragons), then midgard is your choice. Prob is, on guild base and PvP (grp fights) they are the leaders, if you count in the lwrp. Midgard is great in favouring gameplay that is not the main idea of Daoc in the first place. Albs on the other side are somehow weak in pure PvP but have much better "orginal" RvR spirit in my opinion. But atm Hibs seem to have the best all around activity: holding relics (thx to animists) and having some nice PvP grps out there.

Hib needs the most guys. We have like 1 SG running here. The rest is pug stuff.

take it from an rvr active player:

alb: up to 4 ggs + max 2 pugs in rvr, fotm*1: shield-mercs
mid: up to 4 ggs + max 3 pugs in rvr, fotm: casters, zerker
hib: up to 4 ggs + max 4 pugs in rvr, fotm: casters, shield-bms

in the last 3 months the guilds you found in rvr mostly were:

alb: KT*2, PinkPirates, Rare, Army of Immortals, Black-Adders
mid: Anguish, EDN*3, Drachengarde, BlackGhosts
hib: Vanquish, Gli aka Cppt, Lios, Hexagone

hib has the most pugs, on a good day alb has most ggs, that can actually kill other grps, mid has many pugs aswell, not many perform well.

if you want to xp easy, go hib (6relics),
if you want to build strong 8man rvr and actually find enemies, go alb
if you want 8man rvr or find tons of enemy stealthers, go mid

hope u find this info useful 8)

*2 KT = Killer Tomatoes
*3 EDN = Engel des Nordens

The biggest zerg guild-grp counts just as one grp?

So, what are the nicer realms of the pug? I just can't figure it out this time. Can you please elaborate it further for me?

Mid I'd say. Old RAs will most likely change that a bit though.

From my limited experience of Uthgard so far most of the time in emain hib = zerg fest. Which is odd if you compare how DAoC live used to be, hibs = smallest pop, then mid with alb biggest which was to be expected in a game with Camelot in the title ;p
But as we saw the other night in the event albs and mids can field more than hib if the desire is there.
In general i would say avoid hib though atm. Although we'll see what happens when old RAs come in.

Currently albs have the most 8 mans that do well. Hibs can run a lot of pugs but the only decent groups hibs can muster are The Chosen and Stip's pug. Mids currently have been running the least except for DG and sometimes that GDWR guild or w/e. Today was a different story though (4 groups from every realm).

In terms of active RVR participation in emain atm I think Alb = Hib > mid. In terms of actual numbers including all the PVE losers then alb > mid > hib.

And thats only for this moment, if you're looking for long term advice I'd say hib or alb due to high advantages they'll get with old RA's

NS & mezz will mark the battles then and these realms will thrive on that, not sure how Mid will counter this ... (we'll figure out a way xD)

On which char you should play in these realms well,
full tanks will get stronger (/cheer) > bio tanks will weaken
casters won't be useless anymore (increased cast spd)
assist classes will have harder time too due to easier rupt in most cases
(some will be worshipped, group purge on hib assist class)
