I should add I don't fault mids for rolling out with large numbers. It's an event, and hat off to them for getting those numbers.
And don't care if they ended up hitting relic keep after 3 hours. Most albs started to log at that point anyway, and seems albs did it as well...

It's all about presenting yourself afterwards and respecting/understanding the server balance has a large affect on who wins these events.

2)But please stop pointing fingers at albs for zerging when some groups often run no cleric or 1 cleric. I badly want to play my theurgist, but when I log on our guild rarely has any other cleric. So I end up playing my lvl 47 cleric often alone, sometimes when lucky we have another cleric.
The realms are not balanced, and neither is the active RvR population. Look at rps total for the realms, and look at weekly. Albs and hibs are roughly even, but one realm sticks out, and that can't all be amazing leadership doing this.

3)When you play the strongest realm, you don't get the luxury of pointing fingers, and certainly not when you switched to it from a weak realm.

1)Agreed. Midgard rolled out with all the Thanes, Cave shamans and other toons you dont normally see. Flump was playing his sub 50 cave shaman and not the Beast for example. That mixed with good recruitment is what gave midgard succes, i would say.

2) Never kick a guy when his down. But whats with the victum role of Albs. You have the potential to bypass midgard, you got the tools and more flexible options for setups. And some straight up counters to the melee trains via RAs. Just because the playerbase refuses to log/play the needed chars is hardly to be blamed on anyone but the players, right? As for RP earnings, the regular groups on alb are making just fine daily and weekly income. Chicken and Moo, Hyper, Darkdawn when they wiped the floor with everyone, so what is the difference? Well they dont run in 50+ man zergs and get 100 rps for taking each keep, instead they are out fighting in groups that makes sence. They take responsability for their income, and dont just join one of the 3 realm daddies open BG and tag along expect results to happend.

3) and why the hell not? Midgard is the strongest you say, yet lower rr groups with more flexible setup and just stronger compesitions are destroying mids on this patch level. We dont have the same luxary toys from RAs. But we make due with what we have. I've been on alb, I tried on Alb. But everyone just wants to ****** around in a BG handholding on whatever toon they feel like that evening, and even then you dont bring the right classes for largescale fights when its all you do. Show me those coordinated VP wipes, Icewizards and Reavers in keep sieges. But instead Albs just the open BG, type in BG chat and wonder why wellrounded midgard fighting groups are "stronger". And lets not talk about Hibs, who I personally think have the best toys and potential on this patch, but thats okay when its not mirrored then one realm will be "stronger". but people dont want to play on Hibernia because Firbies are ugly (making up statements left right and center here to match the albion way of thinking)

As the leader of the alb zerg that night I might add I was not crying about numbers...mid/alb was almost even...it was a little sad though that hib dropped out so soon and we couldn't have more fights like the first one due to bad server performance.
I enjoyed this event very much and I don't think I'll wait too long putting up another one...remember: Red is the gods color!

I guess I won't keep the next one secret though and announce it early on! Meet you on the battlefield!

I never said albs can't make good groups. I said they zerg because they rarely have clerics avail.
Imagine trying to make a group on Midgard and not find any shamans, and aug healer. Now you roll out with a 50 spec pacification healer, because he usually only do PBAOE group farming. You don't have spec buffs or endo, and hardly buffs for anyone, and you have very bad heals.
Have fun.

Midgard have a hard time finding fights they often say. Well, albs have a hard time finding the vital classes for a group (buffs, heals, CC). See the difference?

Yes, alb groups can massively dominate, which is also why I never said to buff this and that (apart from their siege/zerg busting abilities in another thread). I was making an observation, and I am annoyed I constanntly see the "Albs Zerg" from Mids, as if albs are some second-rate players who can't cut it unless they outnumber enemy 3:1.
Healer/shaman/skald are all popular classes in Mid, and dps is popular in all realms. So you never have this problem.

Edit: And the "They make good groups" argument gets old, so very old. Most humans go for easy solutions. It's in our nature. Is why we have people PvE'ing on necroes, and is why Midgard has been dominating since launch.
Chicken N Moo would dominate in any realm, they are just good players. Has nothing to do with them playing alb.

VP is not working as it should, damage is way to low. And if it works as it should it's not worth the RA points.
Reaver PBAOE insta is a tickle, their pulse is usefull though, just to few who play them really.

Much easier to grab a pac healer, 2-3 sm's, and AOE stun enemies and PBAOE. Purge being on 30 min timer. And this being what you enjoy, I don't fault you for going back to Mid. So much easier to get this kind of play to work.
For example Ichor+AOE stun+pbaoe, great zerg busting with some luck.

Albs don't have anything special to bust Lord Room camps, or bust zergs.
BOF and SOS are the 2 best class specific RA's, imo. But for 8v8, not for zerg v zerg, or Lord Room rush.

But that can never be blamed on anyone but the albs, correct? Not anyone else's fault albs are not willing to play the core classes. I guess its just a cultural difference between mids and albs, mids just relog to whatever class is needed and roll out.

At this point I think we should just agree to disagree, I like debating with you because you are a decent guy and has well formulated arguements but I dont think either of us will convince eachother.

Sure VP damage was undertuned half a year ago when i tested it myself, but you can still stack enough of it on top of eachother for a oneshot effect with 4-5 of them. Volla, zerg busting

Also if I had a silver for each perfect ichor + aoe stun that has been either SoS'ed or grouppurged. At this point I just assume it will be RA trades and dont even walk up any more.

Mids play core classes because they are also core of leveling groups.
Albs core in leveling groups are necroes. I blame this on bad design, I don't blame albs for taking the easy road to 50.
I saw you solo in Snowdonia, can't have escaped you how twisted leveling is in Albion. And yes, it's twisted because of necro and AT classes.
Imagined if shamans were AT augmentation. I think leveling in Midgard would look very different, not because of mids being bad, but because of design flaw.

And on top of that, clerics are pretty boring really. Buff, heal and stun, is all you do in groups. Would love to trade my stun for a root, but that would make alb 8mans even stronger.

You also seem decent :) I also fully understand why you, with your prefered playstyle, switched to Midgard. Only reason I don't play Midgard is because I played it 10 years on Live. AoE stun is amazing in pbaoe defence groups.
And I agree, that we agree to disagree :)

I'm guessing the VP thing is a joke :)
Anyway, I've always hated VP on Live in OF. A 30 min RA that when combined 4-5 wiped zergs/groups, just begged for abuse.
Imagine if Reaver bomb, and wizard dump was possible... how fun would it be to defend vs albs?
I greatly prefer TWF as a RA design.

Anyway, circle jerking :)

I agree, more albs should play clerics, and have a wizard/reaver toon ready for sieges.
My problem was aimed at blaiming albs for zerging, and that is because they'd rather go out and RvR in a zerg, or not do it at all, which is the alternative when you can't find the core classes.

Well I guess Midgard just asked for a relic raid hours before every event they try, as well as taking every keep so they start in their own realm for every event and it's miserable for them. Going to break agreements, I have no problem making your events miserable as you so rudely did to Eithne.

See you then.

Mids were ready at 7pm. That was the official starting time. Hib did not move out till 8pm.what do you expect the mids to do instead of raiding keeps?

I simply don't understand why people are this upset about Mids using their numbers to do RvR stuff.
They did open field battles, lost one, won many, other realms started logging.
I fully understand for Mids the event is officially ended when they don't have any more to fight.

Was Holsten to say: "Wrap it up guys, we are going home!"?

You are not "allowed" to do ninja relic raids, "cowardly!"
And apparently not allowed to use a BG with no one to fight either.

Can we please get the relic raid rules straightened out?
When, how and how many?

Provoking a bit, but I think the blame-game is toxic.
Albs/HIbs should congratulate Mids for fielding those numbers.
Mids should praise Albs/HIbs for putting up a good fight.

Jeez
If only there was some way To play daoc and fight enemies with equal numbers..
Like some kind of unambiguous number teams of players could run with to fairly fight each other so we wouldn’t get all this QQ.
How about full groups ? I mean, is that even a thing?
