It can be fixed. The most important thing is that you need a critical mass of sheep so they can feel comfortable together. Right now, it's a handful of sheep vs the same amount of wolves. This simply is not a healthy balance. The wolves need to eat too and they WILL. So every time they see sheep they eat them. And every time the sheep show their face they die.

Normally, sheep can hide in the pack, strength in numbers. Not on Uthgard. They are exposed and very juicy. They don't have other sheep to mingle with either, so they can't even have a good time until they die.

The only way to fix this is by providing sheep enough incentive to go out en masse. And that's where things go wrong. Instead of using the entire playerbase from lvl 36-50 as your sheep population by making it worthwhile for them to RvR, Uthgard does nothing for them. The sheep try to go out and face the wolves, but once they realize it's a wolf infested sh1tstorm out there, they stop going out because they don't like being a meal 24/7.

On live there were plenty of sheep. Why? Because everyone was excited enough to go out at the same time, AND most people simply did not know enough about the game to be wolves. It was only natural that so many people were out on the field and that there were so few wolves compared to sheep. Fast forward 15 years and the relative amount of wolves has risen severely, with the sad consequences for the sheep, who don't even have the excitement of a new game anymore to rely on.

Help them have a good time. Allow them to progress their characters properly even while dying to wolves sometimes. Help their population restore.

The best way to do it was at launch of Uth 2.0. That chance is lost. The second best time is now.

Definately not na time. Usually like 15 level 50 mids online if that and only 1 or 2 sb in all frontiers. I play everquest til i see hib/alb zerging keeps then text my boys 2 form up for some 8v32 action ugh...

If im lucky i get an alb or hib text "omg after 3 hours we actually have 8 people to rvr" then we pick a zone and fight maybe 3 times.

Its pathetic.

Make a big boy BG zone or something for NA time or its pretty much over for us, should b easy just give us cathal and allow only level 50... unless this "oh its just summer the action will be back" propoganda actually turns out true. Doubt it, most just went to albion online

Harsh but true.

NA action at one point was the best 8v8 since EU prime had 4-5k ppl trying to log on and it was zerg city. Now its a ghost town most nights, even the hardcore players have trouble justifying 1 fight an hour and being ready for that inc which just never comes. It has snowballed badly but if there was a way to consolidate the action it would be a huge boost to the desperate people trying to still RvR.

Seems like the last couple of weeks, it's basically been a rag tag Team America group and my guild Arsenal doing all of the Midgard frontier defending, with an occasional bit of help from the Myth alliance guilds. So about 2 groups of Mids defending against 3-4FG of Albs and Hibs roaming in our frontiers every night for NA primetimes. We just don't often have enough to do proper defense of our frontiers. Especially when we are constantly getting tag teamed by Albs and Hibs.

If there's so little inc, why would you wait so long to go out? Why not just go out with a smaller group?

Who would we fight? Theres no small mans, im not going 2 gank xp'ers, they need 2 get 2 50 faster so they can stand around fs or dl for hours and not see any groups forming lulz.

Were all pretty clever and in addition friendly across the realms we know how many active non-stealther enemies are in the frontiers at any given time. The number is zero, til we coordinate the fights...

...Zero.

Also... its a biiiiig frontier. Especially large with so few players. If were not setting up fights it feels very lonely out there... and when we do set them up, it totally ruins the excitement / surprise of inc

For the record i dont blame gms or server configuration for any of this. Nor do i think there is saving it. Doesnt matter 2 me just saying maybe a big boy BG might help. Dunno

The visibility of what is out must be a contributor then. You could go kill XPers who would communicate to their friends where you are. Or go take some keeps.

To say "I won't do XYZ vs the enemy realm" is different than saying"there is no inc." -- There is no inc "that you choose to engage". important distinction

That simply isn't true. The number in frontiers has not hit 0. Also, the keeps are always there.

Staff COULD help a lot with the visibility thing. Remember in New Frontiers War Maps where anyone could see where there was a battle? Can we not have something like that with the OF here on Uthgard?

We had similar on the website on Uth1. But we need to give this some work. I also tried at one point to make the in game /realmwar work but didn't get the client happy about it. Would be neat though.

If there is some web developer out there who would want to design and implement the realmwar map contact Blue to see if we still need a helper on that. I know we had some volunteers but not sure if they showed up to work :-p

Thanks for the feedback. I would be happy to help except my code days are MANY years behind me.

Its funny how people see no-one roaming around so they rage quit instead of farming keeps to bring people out.

We used to light up towers and break keeps so we could farm people who come to defend.

This game with BGs just made it so that folks who are not 50 or either tempted out for Cake will roll lobies to face roll folks.

Come on now I know everyone has an alt if you don't want to flame or take keeps to kite people out or to help your realm. Then roll an alt and play in the oval 20 bg and think your elite rolling ****** xpers.

Plenty of flakes in the oval 30 and 20 bgs
