Wait a second, I was streaming and playing midgard.

How did this thread turn into a discussion about xrealming?
Midgard had the same players throughout the event.
You didn't win some amazing prize for being on Midgard.
If you're outnumbered 3:1 because your realm is busy doing the dragon, then log another realm or logoff.

If you want to start a real discussion, think about 80% of the uthalis going unclaimed because it didn't split to groups doing the most damage.

How about those 15-25 seconds of each zerg fight where nobody's spells were registering?

Blue should be able to respond to that, he was quick to respond to the xrealm digression that razor felt was so necessary.

Don't argue with idiots - they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

everyone had lags in the first seconds of each zerginc. Enemys were warping around and you could also often not hit as a melee for 10 sec although you sticked your target... but for ~300 player enganging each other the server performed better than the GOA servers back in the days.
After all it was playable most of the time.

Btw here are Lupolds and my video from the event : viewtopic.php?f=86&t=29751

Blue wrote:Maybe I was not clear. Playing in 2 realms meant to just switch over to another realm and play there. Then switch back and so on.

Its not intended that you suddenly switch to the enemies side.

I don't have a problem with a realm timer. If a timer is implemented it will end up saving me a lot of time. If a 1 hour (+/-) realm timer is implemented, then if i am playing any realm and there is zero incoming then i know i can log for the night, instead of trying to create action. At the current setup it is possible (like others have mentioned) to create action if there are too many people/groups on that current realm.

Blue wrote:Especially not with all the hindsight you got in your realm.

hindsight example = Ok, lets say there are 3 fgs of (insert realm here), and zero groups from (insert other two realms). Group (x) says "this is boring as h3ll, we have nothing to kill." Group (x) currently has the option of switching to a different realm to create inc. This example is for groups, but it can be for solo/duo/smallman etc.

I realize the timer would be placed to counter zerg switchers, and i think it will have a positive effect when it comes to that. The negative effect will be during non-prime time hours when there are few incs and people have to struggle to create their own action sometimes.

Which is what's happening nowadays anyway I guess

or have 2 fg's of Albs roaming and another fg that can log on Hib or Mid?

Won't happen anyway and you know why.

I agree with Top. Why wont this happen? I can give one example of this because I talk with these guys a few times every week in TS. Built to Last from Albion has all lvl 50's on Hibernia that they run with when its all Alb's out and they are in the process of finishing up their Midgard toons so no matter what realm is out they can have a set 8 man on any other realm to have action. That is just one example. Another example would be me on my ranger/hunter. I have done this on several nights. I log on the hunter, come out, and if all I see for an hour is Midgard players then I switch to ranger. So once again, why doesnt this happen?
