Alltogether I can say if I am willing to work, I won't choose DAoC for it. In RL you do at least earn money with it..

@jrhadden:
yeah i am talking about yesterday when we were leveling and get attack from mids... so 8 vs 5 with 2 mobs purple and survive is not so bad i think.

and yes there were 3 mids at bridge but could be a trape for the others so they wanted to wait and i was the one in your back that wanted to kill all of you alone ^^.

an other problem i saw in alb is one guy, dont remember who, that told "why is it useful to go kill enemies, we can go on leveling, and told the ohers they are noobs. but i think if you ding 50 without having done any rvr you ll be a pool of RP and wont be grouped cause you die everytime without helping your group. so you'll rush and rereush wishing to get some RP.

by the way to tell who plays well who dont... the guys that plays well is the one that can make win a group just cause of a nice mezzing, healing , assist train,PA or see the nice target far away... etc
the bad player is the pally that can twist chants, don't know what 's a macro, don't stick when afk, buff strengh/AF a caster, spe slash thrust and flex,....

but i should stop there and open a new topic called "what's a good player" cause it's not the title of this one

god bless you,panach

I guess something that you understood a bit wrong. Work isnt meant in
terms of Reallife work. DAoC is a hobby like others...fishing, swimming,
collecting telephone numbers of beautiful girls xD

In these hobbies you can only be good if you keep on training a bit. In other
words -> work.
Especially mmorpgs got the slight tendence to stimulate players to become
the best crafter, the best fighter, the best healer and so on... So they begin
to train in a way other casual gamers could value as work.
However this work or lets say kinda obsessive way to play the game makes
those players to be the better pwnerer. He can pwn you and me and every
body until there comes up a even more obsessive guy

Lets compare the currently usual rvr group setups:

Albion: None...but if there comes up a group it is an avalanche-like uncontrolled
thing moving through the frontier. They have no clue why they didnt
get healed in fight...stfu cleric, oh noes, we havent got a cleric ^^
Hell, some of them dont even know why a 2handed Paladin suxx!
Albion is the current homezone for GGNS which explains into:
GGNS - Gimp Gaylorded N00b Squadrons.

Hibernia: Sometimes a group...some of them run around in SSGG's
This is my new wordcreation...SSGG stands for Small Specialized
Ganking Group.
But if they got owned by a MUSTACHE (I'll explain this later on) they
immediately log out, cry around that some players are cheaters and
calim they didnt have any buffs so they lost ^^

Midgard: Now thats something. Some say Midgard lies on the rainbowed
pathway to Nirganka! xD They invented the MUSTACHEPSGG a specialized
group to gank everyone and everything, hell behind them lies scorched
earth moving around in Emain Macha ^^

MUSTACHEPSGG stands for:
M.idgard
U.ber
S.trong
T.rained
A.lbion
C.rushing
H.ibernia
E.liminating
P.orno
S.tar
G.anking
G.roup

So you have to decide if you want to become a GGNS, SSGG or something
llike a MUSTACHEPSGG! ^^

Greets
Sethor
Characters:
Midgard: Nothing atm
Albion: Nothing atm
Hibernia: suxx ^^

Yepp, when they have the right amount of RPs through greykilling and zerging the Albs, they will finally be able to show the Mids, what Hibbies are capable of

Btw, everyone should play Midgard, so shame on you! :D

@Sethor: admitted.. but the ratio of work invested to fun/recognition gained shouldn't be 10000000/1, or even infinite, though there is no success at all in sight.. A game/hobby should be motivating, otherwise there is really no point in doing it.

Zerging.... ahhh... no thats you not we^^

1 hib fg vs 1 alb fg all is fine but from one second to another alb zergs with another fg (they lost before against hib) and are happy then cuz of rvr is out now...

oh well...
to get back on topic, this is the third evening on a row albion is dead,
/who braemar--> nothing
/who wilton--> one char: afk
/who emain--> beastmaster on his own
/who all--> some in dartmoore, a few in cornwall, some low lvls in camelot hills
/who darknes... oh, i forgot, darkness falls is closed as usual...

they leave like rats leaving the sinking ship....

no guildies, even the french blades are hopping around with the enemy's...

sad, very sad...

what a bunch of poor loosers they are...(not the french blades, i mean all the albs who leave their home grounds)

instead of licking your wounds and learn from your mistakes you run off and go to the winning side...

sad... very sad...

this means we evolve to a daoc server with only two realms?

just my two cents

erm..
right!
ur own ppl go n leave alband its ok,but everybody else who does the same is a bunch of poor losers? sorry man.

1. there where 12 albs @ wilton today
2. later there where 10+albs @ emain (but got zerged down by mid as usual)
3. yep, some ppl are @ dm,bc they want to get at least a bit exp, while they cant go into any border without being zerged down (no,mids dont zerg, they own i know[2button.point.n.click.adventure.gamer]).
4. ur own ppl leave partys sometimes after being killed once or twice, and go playing CS! <-! pf. why dont they go play on purga as other AV..erm ALBS do?

alb got the most noobs + is the hardest realm. thats the problem at all, and without any xpbonus u can forget leveling chars to 50 in time here, while midgard gets stronger and stronger. but as the admins dont react on that, i dont care for it and will go on leveling. even without any optimum party.
i hope it will be better soon.
i really hope, and i do my best by stuffing ppl, helping them out etc.

gnite.

the ones that leaving group were archi and me... should we spend all our time on daoc? we were on for already 2 hours or smthg like that... and we had no more chance to level or win in rvr and there were 2 afk in group. what should we have to do? wait 10 mins the afkers and stay to help alb cause it's our realm...? it's just a game sorry guys.

by the way, i don't wanna play on purga, uthgard is my server and will be till i play daoc. if some guys can go to purga and come better after experimented some rvr,why not... but maybe would it be better to learn base of rvr in braemar and wilton

Mids and especially Sethor are good and Albs are bad.
Return to emain and give them more RPs, they deserve it, because of their uberness. They did the same thing, a long time ago (nevertheless it were EXACTLY the same circumstances, except it was harder for them of course).

The whole discussion here is seems pointless. Everything the Albs say is simply "whining" and no problem is or will be recognized. At least no problem the Admins could help to solve. So why discussing it any longer? Who needs RvR for fun can leave Uthgard or switch realm, everyone will have no trouble with the situation.

Since no one will change his opinion this can be closed.
