I have a hard time believing champs do good dmg at all here, all the champs I have grouped with do 200-300 with 2hander. I see lots of dialia spam, maybe that rr5 finally works tho idk! <Vanquish>

well actually 200-300 damage with a 2 hander is good damage for a champ. When you consider they can S/C debuff, DD, can't have their SC sheared, that's good damage. Then they have the ability to spike and do crazy damage with NF RAs. Though the timers are long, BoV + WOC3 + SC debuff, insta DD would practically 1 shot anything. But its only once every 15 minutes or whatever, and requires high RR. Then when 1.69 comes they lose most of that. |
|
lol, champs have crazy spike dmg on live not here Their RR5 does not work, its only a dmg add. There is no banespike here. And of course 2h dmg on hib and alb is screwed up. A champ on this server who uses BOV + WOC 3 will still have much less spike dmg than one charging + vendo zerker. Especially since they more readily have access to AOG as well. <Vanquish>

No class measures up to a vendo zerker. But champs can still spike to more dps every 15 minutes than basically any other hib tank.

Dialia hits harder than most firbolg heros I've seen tbh ^^ At least I got some 400+ from him without crit, and was on cloth so it's not the RR5. Yet I think valewalker is really good to get in a tank or hybrid setup, like reavers on alb. Too bad those classes will be useless with old RAs. By the way if hibs were running more hybrid setups (and learned how to play them) I'm sure it would be much harder for our alb groups. The problem is that this kind of setup might be weak against mids tankspam, though... I am assuming direct control.

|
why wouldn't hib hybrid setups do good against mid tanks?
But I agree that hybrid setup is the way to go even for hibs |
|
Mostly because mids have shaman resists ^^
I am assuming direct control.

We have tried hib hybrid setups over and over like everyone that DOESNT PLAY HIB tells us to. They are simply not as effective as simply all hib casters grps tbh, at least here. Running something like 2 bms/hero/eld/ench and sticking the bms on their tanks doesnt really work because the enemy support can push very easily with only having to worry about 1 bard and 1 druid tbh. If you have the hib tanks push enemy support then your eld + enchanter are going to die to mid or alb tankspam unfortunately, and in the race to kill casters hib tanks will NEVER win. <Vanquish>

in fact you must kite for that.
as if you you were running caster grp |
|
Our set setup with Cppt was hybrid (2 bm, ench eld ment) and we did very fine with this.
Tbh its a matter of the players state what they can play best. Maybe just not that much people used to hybrid setups to play them fine, dunno, but it can work for sure! |
|
The setup I had in mind was something like 2 bm / vw / eld / menta
Cppt setup sounds quite good also even if it's still more caster oriented. That you lost with hybrids setups in the last day doesn't mean they are bad btw... But yeah I don't play hib - anymore :p I am assuming direct control.

|
General idea with any hybrid is to kite. But on that note hibs fail allready, hib tanks, in any guild or setup just overall...suck!

I think hybrid should go with menta / eld too, as for the tanks I guess I don't play hib so I don't know
BUt even if most of us don't play hib, we kinda know what is the most annoying thing to fight vs hib groups. and a hib hybrid group shouldn't have more trouble dealing with mid tank spam than alb hybrid... That's just how I feel, may be wrong |
