[Vote]Eliminate Potions in RvR? Yes/Nay

Obviously retardedly biased. It's not because the current implementation is poor, that the entire being of a certain aspect is bad. You think just like all those players that go: "OF sucks, wtb NF", instead of thinking about a way to make OF shine as much as possible first. Of course this would apply to buffpots and charges rather than OF/NF. In any case though, the majority of stealthers are so biased by their own view on DAoC that they make discussions like these completely senseless. They just can't seem to get the bigger picture... ever. |

@ Celad - So your example, was just a joke, had nothing to contribute to your counter to my comment. If you want to make a point about something, its best to be serious and not make up comparisons that are not ment to be a comparison, but to be a joke or insault.
And the reason i consider buffbots and such buff use a bad feature of the game, is because many on live have discussed this as something bad . Now those who had a buffbot on live wouldnt say its bad for ovious reasons. Just look it up on many daoc forums, from classic to now. It has always been a hot topic. Now yes that is because people dont have the money to get a buffbot them self and on uthgard anyone can get pot/charges. But the feature it self isnt required in the game, and many take full advantage of it, just to go out and face others with the same, so they spend money and time for a neutral bonus. While there maybe others who dont play as much and would like to just jump on and play for a little, and not have to spend it buying pots/recharging. Some may avoid even playing or going out to rvr, if situations are not what they want. If there is to many enemys and not enough friendlys and you die to often, who the heck wants to burn out pots and charges for nothing. At least if there was a better limit on it, it would be much less of a hassel. @ Zarkor - And i have made suggestions on making this situation better, by limiting to 1 pot and 1 charge. Its few enough to allow players to go without and still have a decent chance, and few enough to maintain ( change to 20min durations ) and cost effective, even if you dont find anyone right away. It also allows unique fights, instead of running into enemys with most of the buffs, youl have to choose what is more importent to you and a little skill at understanding what really would help you more. Then having no limit and just get as much as you can. Such limit also allows you to still have use of alchmey for that 1 pot limit and still can use it for heal pots, end pots, and so on. Same goes for charges too, even the damage add can be used, since its only 30s and shouldnt be considered a long duration buff. And for those who have the str/con charge, they will still have the benifit of having more health and str, compared to having to use the str/con pot. But if they choose to have this rare charge, other can have the dex/qui charge instead, making a better balance between the two charges. |

My example was a joke, but my point was (and is) clear, and in just two line of text. What you want is just a custom change because you think that livelike buffpots are bad. Arguments to support your point: many people agree with me:

And restore charges to their livelike values.
I am assuming direct control.

No, and better if they would be livelike, no 1 min reuse timer and so on

If we had buffbots and many of you had one, you all would disagree with removable of them, in the same fasion as of now

No.
Buffpots / Buffbots where part of the game since the very first days. Obviously it took some time after the first people realized that possibilities. But they're part of a game I missed soo much until I found uthgard. Maybe buffbots, as we all know them, would be part of Uthgard if there weren't those capacity issues. ![]()
