One is just banned yesterday for crossrealm .... so for me its a problem. I prefer a timer based on IP control ceck
there are none so deaf as those who will not hear

imho if they can ban all known IPs can use that to prevent xrealming as well

Going to a enemy relic, which is attacked by another enemy, isnt done in order to help one or the other realm, but the prospect of heavy action, fun and lots of rps makes the people go there!

I like having no timer, although I only play Alb, as this is the chance for some mulitrealmers to balance server or to generate action, when there are for example 5 Alb groups running in Emain and zero enemys.

Yesterday morning, there was hardly any action for our Alb PUG in emain - after hibs logged, most part of the group then logged on their mid thid chars, as there were lots of albs running in thid. Win-win! More action for albs, more for mids...

We all log in in order to have some fun, and not to wait for hours for the tiny hope of anything happens.

Though, I do not like those guys, logging on other realms in order to spy and then maybe abuse those informations to change the outcome of an relic raid or try to crush sh raids or whatever... On the other hand, this is a rpg, and spies and thieves fit very well in this setting :-)

can't do it IP-based, due to people from the same flat or behind the same router (e.g. in student's dorms) playing in different realms...

it's gotta be based on some pc-based thing...some Operating-system id or whatever..

Still doesn't eliminate the biggest x-realm factor, and thats, simply asking a friend.

but what is with those players which always log to the lowest population to keep the inc up? did u once thougth at them?

i mean xrealming suxx (the bad part of it of course) but i think more the relics are the solution.
beside this livelike ballsh!t we ever get told, so many things are far away from livelike so why cant we find a solution without relics? wouldnt it solve the maintance of the problem?

relickeeps can be designed attractive even without this worthless relics which just make people play in the superior realm

well thank god, that relic bonus is not livelike (+20% for both enemy relics!)
if this would be livelike the realmhopping would be more easy to detect per statistic

Ya I don't mind uthgard's relic system at all. Mordred on live was the worst (or any pvp server I guess). Guild's would get +10% just for owning a keep, and then another 30% for having 3 like relics. Some zerg guild would always end up with all 6 relics. Then their stealth zerglings would all be camping cots/goth/etc with +40% melee dmg, fun.
