Uthgard RvR isn't my cup of tea. I'm not a fan of small 8v8 fights. I like bigger fights centered around capturing and defending keeps. That's what attracted me to DAOC from Everquest. I could have kept the group vs group PvP in Everquest, but it's just not my thing. Uthgard pretty much shuns the things I find most enjoyable about DAOC :( Partly due to low population, and partly due to a mentality I do not share (even though I agree that you don't want to chase the enemy out of the frontier). The thing is though, if people were more interested in sieging then chasing enemies out of the frontier wouldn't be a bad thing, since it lets you capture the keep, and eventually they'll come to take it back or try to capture one of yours. But if people are only interested in roaming 8v8, then chasing enemies away just kills all action.

Some of us that actually go organize stuff for the realm don't always do it to accomplish something but for the fun of it

Ive never seen anyone go out to siege for fun on uthgard, NEVER

lets face facts we do NF siege with OF siege equipment, not only was OF siege boring but before the siege facelift mythic made it was boring in NF. People dont like it cause it takes so long u dont get rps for defense or repairs so its usually faster and easier to let them take w/e and they just break the door down while its lvl 1.... this is NOT what rvr is suppose to be like, the game mechanics is all about 3 enemys at war fighting for battle objectives. unfortunetly there are just not enough people running these days who really do want to go and play the game for fun its all about winning now not just seeing what kinda fun u can have making mids or albs or hibs run around like OMG our relic is under attack! now its like oh woah our relic was under siege? as its being placed in an enemy keep ><

I think were past the point of why or why not people run into the rvr zones its more people have made their decisions and very few are going to change what they do with out something drastic happening, maybe OF is the answer were all hoping for(even the guys who voted no) and maybe its something else. I hope that if we do need to have another big change like that our staff on Uthgard will be upto the challenge and the massive amount of work were asking of them.

But on live u get rps for defending/repairing. On Uth not thats the prob why nobody defend. Defending is sensless because of another not livelike Uth-feature. I played live for around 3 Jears and on live if u destroy the middle keep with treps there was is not longer pssoble to build siege weapon on it like oil/treb etc. But on Uth if u destroy the Middle keep the whole keep fall down in his lvl by time. Why? So a lv 10 keep isnt really a lv 10 keep 3 trebs 30 mins firing an another 30 mins later a random grp can open the lv 1 keep  So here my question for what do they spend tons of bps to get such a high keep and some randoms can take it so easyly? I've never seen on live this feature and we had keep fights everyday.
