It makes no sense looking at that thread for dmg comparison since crits are not capped.
The world will look up and shout "Save us!"...and I'll whisper "NO U."

(except maybe that savage is better for leveling)

I have been lvling both classes and I can say without a doubt that the zerker lvls faster solo and grouped.
The only time savage does more damage is when it triples or quads.

I just fought a level 48 Spiritmaster.
His Pet intercepted 3 out of 4 Hits and chain stunned me with no immunity timer. While i was stunned, i got lifetapped and the Spiritmaster regained the few HP he lost. The Pet took almost no damage while intercepting and i was hammering it with hard hits, selfbuffed with damage add, dex/qui, str - str/con Pot-buffed and 20% Haste Charged too.

I have 3 Questions:

1. Working as intended, that the Pet intercepts so much? I knew it intercepts, but 75%?
2. Working as intended, that the Pet takes almost no damage while intercepting? I know it intercepts, but it should die while intercepting 20 Hits, or not?
3. Working as intended, that there is no immunity timer for the Pet Stun?

And yes, i lost, to a level 48 and his level 42 Pet and i feel bad now :P

Even blew purge and IP ...

http://de.daocpedia.eu/index.php/Geisterbeschw%C3%B6rer:

Stun-Proc

according to this source it does not have an immunity timer, donc a chainstun is possible

besides, the chance to intercept is 50%, every time you attack it
so chances to intercept 3 out of 4 are still rather high

i have had fights during which my pet intercepted 1 out of 15 swings
and i have had fights in which it intercepted 5/5

just a matter of luck ^^

i have also had fights during which my enemy resisted 3 of my casts in a row...

@ Gerbald, I think it was me you were fighting at the thundra crawlers.

Attacking someone, who is leveling peacefully and almost out of mana and then complaining here if you get owned :P

All cap SC, 4L3 and a lucky intercept rate.

If you want to kill an SM, it is all about tactics.

Hope to see you again.

PS: Thragan turned 50 just with the mob he killed before you

There's no tactic involved, you >>need<< to be a mage to kill a SM.

Well.. actually...

That or a melee stealther I guess. Other 1v1s against SMs are pretty much free rps for em.

I needed one more mid for my "kill 5 mids" quest :P
And i waited untill you killed the Mob.

So one Question is still open: Is it normal that the Pet takes almost no damage when intercepting? Plyers get a hell of a lot of damage while intercepting and when i fight a blue Pet, i get it down quite quick, but when i hit the Caster and the Pet intercepts, it does not seem to take much damage at all.

look at the list of active SMs... im not really active atm because of my final exams but its pretty lonely up there
compare that to other (previously *cough* flurry *cough* bugged) classes like BMs or whatnot...
besides BD, the SM is probably the least played class in endgame-rvr

guess thats cos its so imba ^^

edit:
btw im in no way suggesting that my class is weak or something, i enjoy playing it very much and i agree that except for infis/ns and enemy casters i can pretty much kill anything without using any RAs in 1v1

im kind of surprised (well not any more, otherwise i would have been in a constant state of being surprised for 2 years now ^^) that there aren't more actively played SMs

So how do SM's do against high spec DD?

Like say, from a Fire spec Wiz?

pretty bad ^^
considering the advantage of range the only chance i get is run away as soon as i see a wizzie and hide behind a tree to reduce the range... if i see the bolt flying towards me i still try to run out of range so i dont get hit by DDs or anything but usually i get hit by 2 bolts and im dead ;)
