its always interesting how some people think they speak for a community...

what about a poll about horseroutes? then there is no doubt what the real community wants and not a couple of permaposters, and no more textwalls needed

We can't have polls for every change we made. It just does not work that way.

We decided to have the horse routes to improve the RvR. So, thats it. Now let's see whether it does or not. Just accept it.

Well... i've read a lot of posts before writing this one. Some people have a good point - like that example of an inc near an horse route can damage the inc itself, because of non-requested adds.

On the other way, the problem for hibs is not for the NSs that must run to Druim Ligen to Emain, there's the speed of the realm, and the time you have to run is basically what the other stealther have to wait the Gothis/Mages to teleport.

I think we should at least try this horseroutes, and judge them only after a few weeks. If they're more negative than positive, i think that the GMs will drop them.

I think ppl could run with hastener speed around frontiers with no problem, you could choose your path and solo or grp the way, all did it long ago, usually path till emain are clear only need be cautelous around emain entrance really.

I dont know why ppl complain so much till get horses and now about horses, my personal opinion : dislike the custom horse roads, but its a staff decision and ill not complain.

Horse routes to emain aren't my favorite decision, I'd rather have seen an upgradet version of realm speed tbh. But I'll just look how it works out and will propably give feedback after I made a lil bit RvR with the horse-route change to have a better feeling for how it influences the rvr game experience.
Why ToA-RAs advance high RR groups more than old RAs do:

That issue was under discussion. Imagine a tank with that realmspeed hunting a caster with regular speed. It would boost the tank so he can keep up with the caster easily. Enhanced realmspeed would take influence on the balance whereas this does not happen on a static horse route.

Sounds plausible. I guess a version where the enhanced realm speed drops to the normal 150% value when entering emain/HW/OG is too complicated or not even possible? Anyway, from that perspective horse routes are maybe the lesser evil, even though I don't like the idea it gives campers the possibility to farm people riding to emain.

I would give a 7 min 204% speed. It's more or less the time you need to get from DL to Emain. Campers are still free to camp and there is no way to face a speed5/6 char in Emain/HW/OG.

Still i'm impressed by the horse routes. Just those campers... Ppl will soon camp next to DL to get somebody on horse as soon as possible:D

if u dont like the horses dont use or port og

if u go solo emain .. u can get pa't every time thats why u run there or not ?

horse routes are simply nice and thanks for it

zergers will never leave amg ..
solo ones will stay solo or duo

nothing changed just we have in hib now nice support and its funnier to run solo now there ans non stealther
