Well, i do not know when some of you guys played on live-servers. I believe that a large number of players argueing about too low 2H-dmg simply played DAoC in a late development state of the game, somewhere around postNF/DR/Catacombs. The reason why I'm mentioning this is the fact, that somewhere around that state of the game the overall damage of weapons was boosted (weapon stats/weapon mechanics).

@Hedra: Paladins are the worst possible defensive tanks? Excuse me, but this is just so utterly wrong. Actually Paladins are one of the best, but most difficult to be played (aura switching; positioning) defensive tanks. They combine a very high base defense with additional self-support making them extreme enduring combatants.

@Toblerone: So we have to nuke you? :P

Well i can tell you that i played my pole arms since begging of the game( 1 month after realase at 2001) till pre toa months, and i could three shot zerkers with defender rage combo, unbufed both , at 50.

You can believe it or not but thats the true, i can post some shots ( did but none care about it on albion mainboard).

Where did I say anything that wasn't true ?

And for the last time, paladins are not "one of the best". If it wasn't for the endu regen chant, nobody would EVER group one. Caster groups on live can run without a paladin at all.

Hmm if you compare paladin with armsman , arms has dmg advantage on 1h but not with much and posibility to switch to 2h or polearm vs a slamed target when he doesnt have to guard, more reliable cause of determ and abit better at blocking , SoB Ra.
Paladins have their advantages too , as every1 said = endu char hard to kill melee , and his af chant helps if clerics r ooc and cant buff with AF every1 ..thats about it :) , aotg as RA.

HAHAHAHAHA, ok glacius and the rest of people that do tests that involve weapons on live stop, it doesn't mean anything cause the weapon stats/weapon mechanics were changed : )))))))))))))))))))))

Honestly I doubt you ever played a paladin. They are worse on everything, always out of endu and easily CCed. If paladin wasn't necessary for endu chant, I wouldn't hesitate any second to take an armsman instead, that would do the same job but more efficiently.
