Showing respect for grays is a social aspect of DAoC that not everyone is inclined to follow. Expecting not to be killed in RvR zones is silly in my opinion.

It's funny that this game is like 13 years old and these same topics never fail to pop up.
Cheers,

The killing of realm enemies that are coloured grey for the killing character (and therefore are way below his level and do not give any experience, realm points or kill stats) is explicitly not forbidden. It will not result in any punishments against the killing player. Players with low level characters move into a RvR zones at their own risk and have to accept the danger of being killed.

SO where is problem?

the problem is on 50s behavior
killing greys they only want to annoy others or they dont have enough skillz to face anything that can win them :P
It's the thrill of the chase

Its also "unfair" to have rr9-12 people running around emain taking on people who are rr4-5 but it happens every night.

As to the thread topic. I won't lie. When I got 49.5 on my Inf and /xp off was in the game I ran around gray ganking in DF/Dodens/Marfach like nobodies business. My first high level assassin and a lot of pent up anger at all the people who ganked me when I was leveling I guess.

I stopped soon after dinging 50 4l2 tho. Gray ganking is dumb as a stealther because it gives away your position, wastes a poison, and makes them add you.

I have let grays live only to have them add fights and when that happens you bet your ass I kill them.

It should not be made impossible tho, if you don't want to get ganked don't xp in RvR zones.
There will be a group of people out there who will want this realm to be entirely Mythic-like. Exactly like vanilla, drop rates/xp rates, basically everything and you will not be able to please them unless it is exactly like vanilla.

These people have their nostalgia goggles on so tight it's cutting off the bloodflow to their brain and they believe that vanilla was perfect and nothing was wrong with it.
