Wrong

Viper and all RA's with a fix damage / heal value are designed for
26 more constitution ~150 HP for a supporter
200 more HP due to overcap
350 is more HP due to Championlevel

So basically Viper is designed for a health pool with additional 700 Hitpoints more. Everyone who wanna tell us something different give us some arguments pls.
Physical defense for example is good as well but is percentage based and hence much more balanced than all those RAs with fix values.

Rofl. Only casters and maybe scout should have pd. WTF two classes with studed armor, self af and can spec one ra, that increase their damage resist.
Compare sb vs ranger.
Ranger is resist slash damage+ studed armor+ self af+ 26% melee resist+ pd5. We have 28+26+10=64% resist to mele, and must add bonuses from armor factor and self af.

Shadowblade is weak to slash damage, wear leather armor, have not self af, mele resist is 26% too. Then we have 26-10=16% mele resist add there armor factor and charge af (if he use it).

Finally we have: while sb hit ranger for 70-80 damage, ranger hit sb for 150-160 and sometimes for 200.
And now tell me if this is balanced.

Please dont write things even you don't believe. Stuff like self AF is a nonsense argument since you can just charge it. No one runs with PD5.

OK reduce it to pd4. Then ranger resists 53% in melee.

In my opinion you cant compare 53% and 16%.

Resists for PD are calculated after the resists from SC and I believe armor resists (or it should, at least). Regardless, having PD4 does not equate to 53%. The hit first considers the SC resists and armor (and af). After that damage is calculated, the resists from PD are then factored in.

SBs can also spec Viper which can counter the lost effectiveness due to PD.

Vangonaj, you assume that every ranger specs blades and not pierce? which SBs have a resistance to. And again, Viper can be effective against any class and is a proactive ability, where PD is a reactive ability and only works against melee.

But this is all moot as there are a myriad of ways for classes to counter each other. It's these types of things that actually draw me to Daoc and Uthgard. Using strategy over getting classes/mechanics nerfed.

Lets say it like this - in two sentences:

Viper is needed vs Rangers.

Viper is gay vs any other class.

Simply and true.

find it funny how people are complaining about viper when Reavers/Minstrels/Friars/MoC3 SM are so much more overpowered then viper3 stealthers

the classes you mention do not rely on an overpowered RA to achieve anything....

MoC 3 anything will woop your pants usually but well that RA has a TIMER which Viper does not.
Reaver is only good when able to land hit backstyles
Minstrels just a challenge when u know how to play versus them
Friars, yeah friars are really unbalancing the server because EVERYONE plays a friar.
Friars are supposed to be hard enemies and really good soloers.

geting old ras solve all teh problems of unblanced ras(what ever you name it here even basic pasive ras like moblokc/pary pain aug str/dex stuf is opwerpoer on my eyes) i saw a sb hitign me voer 450 with his 2handed slash sword and i was hitng him 250 with my same speed staf?
nf ras bugs mechanics of game nto even counted buged viper or oop pd or woc etc.
for example i cant land a moblokc 3 pala 1 single hit in 30 hits?
also stil we got buged facing issues a shiled user even able to block fom behind......
most poeple will qq about old ras are unblanced ns will wipe us couse of 30 min purge etc. etc.
casters with pd will loose it
also it was mythics fault to add range atackers pd (why they added tehm anyway cosue as relopal they survie in jungles?)
if pd was 3 6 9 basis like old ras none shoudl complian couse apd5 wuld only give %15 abs now it gives %24 or 29 what ever it is
the values on nf ras are to high for this seting with 75 stat cap
costumizng ras will take longer tehn to jsut swith to old ras it is not that easier
also old ras are preapered by 3 months ago yet tehy dont want to add them couse of player bases dont want it

Ranger vs infi/sb

ranger: - mainhand anytimer 120-150 dmg with s/c debuff 90-120 dmg
- mainhand sidecombo 160-230 dmg with s/c debuff 120-160 dmg
- loose 400 tp (s/c debuff from infi/sb)
- ras: purge, ip, rr5

infi/sb: - mainhand 100-130 dmg --> pd3 with dot spam 250dmg
- mainhand 60-100 dmg --> pd4/5 with dot spam 220dmg
- ras: purge, viper3, evade

220/250 dmg (infi/sbs) vs 160 dmg (ranger) only mainhand!
Ranger 1600tp - 400tp (s/c debuff)= 1200tp vs infis/sbs 1600tp

Ranger can purge dot/desease/s/c debuff but Infis/sb's switch the other 10 weap. and u purge was for nothing!
High rr Ranger need sometimes all ras for rr4 infi/sb!!!

SO NOW VIPER is OP ;D

I don't know where the problem is. A caster went out solo and died to an assassin because of Viper 3. If the assassin would have had purge 3 instead, the caster would died anyway. If the assassin would have opened with PA, the caster would have died, too.

The same caster would have died against nearly all other classes too, which have high det, charge or purge3. In Uthgard setting, most caster have it very hard to compete with melee classes in direct 1on1.

What comes next? Solo melee bard complaining about died on a overpowered det5 zerker charging? Simply redicoulous.
